Speedie85
Hello folks Thought it was worth adding a post on the Society's new Christmas fundraising initiative, here's all the details: The Well Society have launched our '12 Days of Christmas' campaign, giving you access to more than 50 exclusive experiences and prizes whilst supporting Motherwell Football Club. We have teamed up with the club, the youth academies and Motherwell FC Community Trust to offer you everything from golfing holidays to VIP access at Fir Park. Take a peek at our 12 Days portal and find the perfect Christmas gift. Being part of it is as easy as one, two, three: 1. Browse through over 50 silent auction lots, register and make your bid or go to our buy now options 2. Enter our raffle, at just £5 per ticket, to be in with the chance of one of three great prizes 3. Make a pledge and help a child in our local community The portal is open until 9pm on Thursday 12 December – so make sure to get your bids in before then. The fundraiser brings all aspects of the club together, with proceeds from the silent auction split equally between the Society, Motherwell FC and the Community Trust. Monies raised from the raffle will directly benefit the next generation of players running out in claret and amber, with a 50/50 split between the boys’ and girls’ academies. Christmas is a time for thinking of others, and giving the gift of football is also an option. Many children in the local area don’t have access to social activities and clubs – why not make a pledge to fund a football holiday camp place? Well Society Director Greg Anderson is leading the campaign as part of the Society’s Membership Workstream. He said: “There’s a plethora of prizes, some awesome auction lots and experiences which would tickle the fancy of any Motherwell FC fan. Please have a look and consider getting involved – it is all going to support this club and this community.” Brian Caldwell, Motherwell FC Chief Executive, added: “We’re excited to be able to offer fans something truly memorable, whether that be lunch with Paul McGinn and the players or joining the press pack and interviewing the gaffer. All aspects of the club are involved in the campaign, and all aspects of the club will benefit. Thank you for taking part.” Fans also have the opportunity to support development of the women’s game, and programmes which benefit people in the local community. Dawn Middleton, Chief Executive of Motherwell FC Community Trust, urged people to make a pledge: “The fans show incredible support to the team on the pitch, and to everything that happens off it, so I have no doubt they will rise to the occasion.”
