Said before game it was going to be a battle. Not pretty but we showed that little bit more in quality when it mattered.

Thought young Miller struggled offensively today, apart from last freekick, but did a power of work defensively. His interceptions and general reading of the game around our box was a standout.

Watt ran and ran, and has the quality and hold up and link up play we have missed.

The game passed Tavares. On the ball HE gave it away cheaply and jon existent when we were defending.

plus:  Great result clean sheet. Better second half. Players coming back from injury to active.

Negative: terrible display first half. poor starting line up

future: Wilson to left back  Tavares out Kaletta in. Halliday out Paton in. Stop having Miller take free kicks from our half. Cut down on the long fkn hopeless punts up the park

Second half performance much better, no doubt players still fighting for manager, watt gives u that bit of gameplay, winning fouls, getting you up the park than our more naive players dont have, put a shift in, good on him, tavares should never start, seddon should be a first pick,ap seems lightweight can't work him out, maybe moses due a run in games.

Media seem to think St Mirren were more likely to score. Can't remember big Ox having much to do in 2nd half. Compared to their goalie saving from Seddon and AP. Sure it was scrappy, but we at the end were pushing and trying to play.

Very happy to stop the rot and get a win .

Also very happy to have Tony watt in the starting 11 and get a goal .

he has lots of qualities that I just don’t see the other forwards having .

Took a lot of guts to come back on loan and is warming himself back into well fans hearts. With fitness improving he could be such a key player

With Paton and Nicholson coming back in it may enable our midfield to Play some football and provide a decent service for Watt and Stam up front. I know Stam missed a chance today but I don’t think he can be fairly judged until we start creating several chance a game for him.

Truly horrific game, two of the most honking teams in the league on that display but frankly I don't give a fuck. All that mattered was the 3 points and fitting that one of the few men in a Motherwell top who wasn't pish all game got the winner. Can we also stop the "Fat Tony" stuff , christ almighty if some of you think he's fat you should be at spec savers no Fir Park.

Please let that be Jairs last ever game.

St Mirren tried to play the ball on the deck more than us we spent 90% of the time playing hoofball. Two utterly shite teams but Id say St Mirren did less of the utterly pointless hoofball than us ...

Pushing it , both teams were fucking honking. I think a draw would have been fair but frankly dont give two fuck about fair.

Don't think I am. We were less honking than them then. St Mirren did not trouble us in the 2nd half, whereas we created a few decent chances. Small margins in this tight league, is all it usually takes to turn 1 point into 3.

Not a chance they tried to play it on the deck. Route one from them from start to finish. It's what they do. Just ask their fans. Even their subs were like for like.

we will need to agree to differ, we played zero football , we hoofed it the entire game it would have made your eyes bleed. Im not suggesting for one minute St Mirren were anything other than rank rotten I just thought they play less hoofball than us. However splitting hairs.
