Games like that are great when we win.

Obviously there were/are issues with our defending which was horrific for two of the three goals we conceded today. And if we’re being honest we were second best for the entire second half where we rode our luck especially with Moult hitting the bar seconds before Sparrow’s fine finish for the 4th.

But goals win games and we scored four and they scored three and that’s the only thing that matters at the end of the day.

If ever a game epitomises being a Motherwell fan that was it. In complete control at 3-1. Virtually threw the ball in the net for them to make it 3-2. Struggling to contain DU at that point but break up the park and restore the 2 goal lead , time to relax ? fuck no, its Motherwell...... horrendous defending and its 4-3. Until 3-2 we were playing nice football, a million times better than the shite we watched in Paisley. After it went to 3-2 we lost our composure completely and were  delighted to hear the final whistle. Thought DU were worth a point but delighted they didn't get it.

36% possession and we get 4 goals. Ox had a few good saves today especially the one he tipped onto the crossbar but he certainly needs to work on his one handed punching.

The opposite of when Jim McLean was Utd manager. They'd let you have the ball for 70% of the game and you'd leave with a 4 - 0 defeat.

The Ox seems to have got the jitters now, which is worrying,   but I was delighted for Stama, who showed what he can do if he gets the ball in the right way in  the 18 yard box. Kaleta is ok when attacking but he's not a great defender. and looked out of his depth in that role.  Seddon (and Sparrow when he came on) played well but  Blaney didn't instil much confidence and Gordon seems to be regressing a bit. TC had DU rocking in the first half but tired and he was given the treatment by the opposition defence in any case.

A great win but I hope we address the obvious weaknesses in our performance  before next Friday.

Love seeing Goodwin deflated/disappointed but those last few minutes were painful.

Ahhhh cannae beat a 4-3 v utd!!.  Had to leave with 20 mins to go as had a 21st birthday meal to go to ( not mines).   Some sloppy goals but great result.

Delighted for Stama, been saying for ages to play him as a proper no.9.   Thought Halliday very good also today.

Howler from Ox for 2nd goal bur great saves, did he touch that one onto crossbar?

Enjoy yer night folks

Well what a day!

Left Nürnberg at 5.30am this morning. Got into Fir Park at 10 past 3 to find it was 1-1 already!

What a great game of football! Really entertaining from both teams and amazing what you can do when you play players in their right positions and put the ball in the box for your main striker!

Thought we played really well first half. Seddon, Halliday, Miller, TJ and Stama all great!

Second half not so dominant as Goodwin thru the kitchen sink at us, but our subs steadied the ship up to a point.

Great 3 points against a team flying high with one of the best defensive records in the league.

Still not home due to the absolute carnage on the west coast line from Central tonight.

Gonna enjoy my red wine and domino's watching Sportscene when I eventually get home!

3 points for The Steelmen. Today is a good day!

They were but likewise delighted they got none. And beating Dundee Utd will never not be enjoyable, arrogant chumps that they are.

Didn't think Utd's was a pen when I watched it live on the stream. Having seen it on Sportscene I'm even more convinced it wasn't a pen. (Also don't think our shout in the second half was a pen either).

I don't think Ox's flap today was quite as bad as his last one. It looked a bit more like a lack of competitive nous. After he missed it, he was complaining about being blocked, whereas a keeper with more experience would have just flattened everybody in front of them. He needs to be a bit more aggressive on those and take no prisoners.

Great offensive performance and 3 points.

We really struggled with high balls into our box. Big ox, since his Hibs gaff, seems hesitate to come off his line and collect high balls.

Hes been trying to punch instead of catch . That’s not good.

Great 3 points and a swapping places with Utd was nice. A win on Friday before back to back games against the Old Squirm would be tremendous.

Scored some good goals and being clinical in converting chances probably won us the game along with some good/great saves xnc a wee bit of luck.

Only negatives were losing a couple of cheap goals and my Donner Pie was a bit overdone.

Some good performances and I think the substitutions were made at the right time. Particularly Paton and Halliday, who I thought both done well but were probably tiring.

Agree but since VAR awarded theirs why didn’t they award ours?
I can just about accept VAR making a mistake in one game and getting it correct in another but in the same game their interpretation should be consistent.

VAR is a shambles, week after week it's making mistake after mistake, Dens park last week we had the clearest pen shout you will see, and no check, a player down with a head knock play not stopped, today never a feckin pen as agreed by both pundits on sportscene and we get another long VAR check and they refer it to the ref, who never saw an issue in real time, it's a feckin joke.

The whole set up needs to be binned as what we have now is not fit for purpose.
