Lots of players had very good first halves. But Lennon Miller apart, the only one had a complete performance was Stama. So unselfish to square for Sparrow for the 4th!

Funny what happens to a striker when you provide him with service!

Got to be Stam.

And I said after the last home match he hadn't shown me much.  Well he did today.

Agreed. He looked much more like the close quarters finisher I was expecting.

Not just from his goals, but he was getting himself in the right positions more often and gambling on where the ball might end up.

Has to be Ap Stam. 2 goals, an assist and could have had a hat-trick. Good movement and thought he was clever against their defenders despite them having physical advantage.

Thought Miller had a mostly solid game and Sparrow always seems to make some kind of impact, great finish from him.

I fair enjoyed today, we played some good football, scored some good goals, there were lots of discussion points and we won. I then spent an hour post match with my brother-in-law (a 'Well fan) and four of his pals (Dundee U fans) and we agreed that it was an entertaining match with some terrible defending by both teams and an inconsistent referee. I hope I would be so gracious if the final score had been 3-4. I suspect I couldn't have spent that time with too many Old Firm fans.

The bottom line is that if you want to watch a team dominate the opposition and not give up any chances, you shouldn't be at Fir Park or Tannadice, go to watch Celtic instead. I know where I would rather be though.

Edit, Meant to post that in the match thread, sorry.

Large slice of humble pie for me. Questioned Stam’a abilities recently but was superb today. 2 well taken goals, the second straight from his YouTube reel and an assist. Sparrow’s finish was sublime.

This has been my main point to my mates, you watch Stamas goals on YouTube reel and a lot of goals from crosses into the box, none of him having to run into channels. Hopefully Kettlewell has now realised how best to play him

Aye, exactly this. I checked his goal stats from Aus and when he scored he was always playing with a combination of a ten, strike partner or wingers.
