Dundee utd have celtic on the sunday so a win here and we could find ourselves in a great position.

We need to stack away another 3 points as those below us will make in roads on us over the following two games. I want as many points as possible away from the bottom 3 . There are no stand out fall guys this season (not even Hearts) so we need to get as many on the board as we can then concentrate on what is above us in the last round of fixtures..

I'd say the teams with 3 wins out of 17 are in prime position for fall guys. You'd expect Hearts and Hibs to throw some money at their problems during the window, but neither are strangers to the Championship.

End of January will be when we get a more realistic view of things, however, in the top and bottom 6. I'm actually more focused on the gap between ourselves and 7th for now. If we can maintain that then, obviously, we avoid any relegation scraps. Of course, if/when we drop back into bottom 6 then I'll be laser focused on the gap to 11th.

We need to be showing the team the Brian McLair OF fixtures to give them some inspiration for the games after this.

On a separate note, I've mentioned on a few occasions how I'm not a fan of Casey and Blaney playing together. Just in case I was being unfair I did a quick scan of the results since they signed. We have only manage 2 clean sheets in the league when they were starters. (We did manage 3 in the league cup against Edinburgh City, Queens Park and Partick Thistle).

I know there is more to clean sheets than just the defenders, but I'll need some convincing that pairing them up is part of our strongest defensive unit.

When is McGinn back?
McGinn  Gordon  Casey is the best starting option I think.

Someone mentioned that they were talking to him before the game and he said he was just about ready for action so I would presume we might see him early next year or possibly earlier.

As an Ayrshire Steelman, this is as close to a local derby as it gets for me.

Will undoubtedly be another tough game. McInnes teams are hard to beat. But with players all flooding back and getting minutes in, we are finally starting to look like a functional outfit.

Looking forward to another Friday night under the lights. Hopefully we can come out on top again!

We should start an Ayrshire branch. That`s at least 4 of us I know of.😁

Im in Irvine.

Met 2 guys on the train from Ayr going to the League Cup semi.

There was a boy from Troon I used to see on the train about 20 years ago.

Im sure there must be others.

I'm back down in Ayrshire as well, in Alloway.

Actually said to Sean Baillie when he was doing his stats to check how many were down here as there do seem a few.

See the odd Motherwell top around on kids as well.
