What a first half display.

Maswanhise got my vote. His touch, turn and finish was sublime.

Honourable mentions for Kaleta & Wilson who are always improving. Thought Tony Watt brought a lot to the game in the 2nd half. If we can get him sharper / faster he’s a player

Quite a few candidates today, Paton, Maswanhise, Ap Stam & Liam Gordon all due consideration. I went with the Ox though, blameless for the two goals and looked back to his best at coming off his line after a few shaky displays. Good to have options.

Went for Maswanhise. Took his goal brilliantly, all round shift and filling in when Kaleta had to go off. Reckon the original intention would have been for Moses to replace Maswanhise to freshen things.

Others worth a mention were Ap Stam, Watt, Paton and Gordon. Also thought Halliday done well and lasted more minutes than he has been recently.

No failures today but Stama and Maswanhise had the two centre halves on toast in the first half. The latter did enough to get my motm.

Paton and Halliday contributed well again. It’s just annoying watching the game knowing that they’ll run out of steam early in the 2nd half.

But that’s ok since I’m quite happy replacing them with Sparrow and Nicholson but we should be doing that before they run out of steam

Or perhaps not starting Halliday but bringing him on at half time or last half hour and having sparrow or Nicholson give it 100% knowing it’s not for 90 mins

Harry Paton was the best player on the pitch first half. Was surprised when he was subbed off. Despite just coming back from injury he still looked ro have running left in him. Unlike TJ who was done after 69 minutes.

I think Paton just lacks a wee bit of match sharpness which of course means he needs to play more but he has done well after his long absence and I expect him to get better with each passing game. TJ does look like he needs to up his fitness level and I’m sure they are working on that but even now he’s already a big asset to the team
