Just hope we don't enrage the officials in the next few days before the game.

Yup, the sooner Kettlewell learns that it's only the "big teams" who get to question match officials and learns his place, the better, eh?

Kettlewell is a twat. His disciplinary record speaks for itself.

Sorry, but Im with David on this one.

Much rather have a manager that sticks up for our club in the media, regardless of how much it infuriates officials.

We arent getting fair treatment anyway, so he might as well highlight it. Its not going to stop if he stays quiet.

The more you highlight it, the more visible it becomes and the harder it becomes to ignore.

At the very least we develop a seige mentality that gets us over the line in tough situations.

PS I think we will take something from this game. At least a draw.

But it's possible to highlight the unfair treatment and stand up for what's right without behaving like a hormonal teenager on the touchline, is it not?

To be clear, I have no problem whatsoever with his incessant questioning of decisions and the officials in his pre-/post-match interviews. It's his touchline behaviour that I find a bit stupid and unnecessary, and it ultimately points to his inexperience. He should know by now that he doesn't have to get himself yellow/red carded for the numerous injustices to be highlighted. Furthermore, if he wants to point to the professionalism of the officials, then he needs to get his own house in order first. It's his job to be the manager and call out the crap in the media, which I commend, and not to behave like an angry keyboard warrior abusing the officials.

He clearly lost his temper on the touchline at the weekend and paid the price for it. He’s not the first manager to do so, and he certainly won’t be the last.

Personally, I’d rather have a manager who occasionally lets his passion get the better of him than someone who comes across as overly passive.

You also raise a valid point about his inexperience. At 40, and with last season being his first full campaign as the sole manager of a professional club, it’s fair to say he’s still learning the ropes.

That said, chasing a top-six finish and leading us to a cup semi-final in only his second full season? Not bad going for someone who’s still relatively new to the job.

It is.

But Id be holding him to a higher standard than myself, given I had lost my shit at several points during the game.

Given the calls that have been given against us in recent weeks that are so obviously wrong, I find it difficult to be critical of him in that regard.

But yes, I was mostly being supportive of him calling out the officials in the media.

Hearts on honking run of form and desperate for 3 pts so what better opposition to face as we are always charitable to teams that need a win

Aye that's the script I'm looking at as well 😬 but it depends what Motherwell team turns up, if it's the team from yesterday then I reckon we will get a win, so here's hoping.

I always laugh when I see anyone saying that, as it's something that fans of about 90% of football clubs in existence say 😂
