Anyway, back to the game.

Hopefully the players have enjoyed their day off and taken time to recuperate.

Interested to see what comes out of the club in the next few days regarding injuries, comebacks, signings.

We could do with some good news for a change. There hasnt been much of it lately.

Totally agree, yeah some of the football hasn't been great, but a semi final and at present above many teams in league although it's tight and we sack the manager, should Robinson be sacked?mcinnes?,the hearts manager?,teams that are going through bad times, some folk need a reality check and this new manager is going to do what?absolutely bonkers to think sack Kettlewell and we will surely improve.

I think some people (I'm talking about social media in general) - not the person I was responding to haven't got over the fact that he wasn't sacked after the 15 game winless run. (They are entitled to that viewpoint).

Folk are also completely entitled to have a view on anything to do with the manager and the way we play - but it wouldn't matter what he does for some fans - they don't like him, rate him and want him out. I think it's quite astonishing that he's being referred to as semi competent given that we are 5th in the league - and given the injuries we've had to contend with lately.

St Mirren fans probably aren't very happy right now - and I don't blame them but I don't think they are shouting for Robbo to go

We also don't have the budget of some of the clubs who are below us in the table just now.

I swear to god if I don't see a shot yes a shot in the first half against a really rank rotten St Johnstone then I shall be taking out my White hanky in protest!

That's what is putting me on tilt about Kettlewell it's this no shots first half,50-60mins we tend to have one  and 80 mins he make subs by then the game is lost.

No excuses both games Vs St Johnstone I expect us to be in the next round of the cup and 3 points next week for us.

Lets hope we have no more injuries or viruses this week.

I'd imagine that Watt and Maswanhise are stick on to start, barring injuries.

I believe that Matty Connelly won't be available for this game as he's cup tied.  His replacement on the bench will be interesting.

There's no point in playing for a draw so lets give it our best shot and adopt a more aggressive assertive game.

Absolutely - get out at them early .

Confidence in their camp must be low and a coming out the traps and getting an early goal would be ideal.

we give too many teams too much respect and sit back - now’s the time to seize the day !

No chance Mr Kettlewell will go for it

unless heez forced to, but most likely go for it last 15 as per

Aparently Jack Vale will be available as his suspension only applies to league games. There is a possibility that Harry Paton & Liam Gordon might be fit.

I thought straight reds for endangering opponents were cross competition?

Or is that just violent conduct?

Not sure what the difference is.

It would ve a real break for us if he can play.....

1700 tickets sold which is phenomenal.   Nae pressure Kettlewell and players but you owe these supporters big time.

Let's do this

Indeed they do. SK will get slaughtered if he sticks to 5-3-2 boot it long to no one, lose possession rinse and repeat.. The fans will accept a defeat if we go down fighting trying to play football and creating chances. I fear the same kinda pish we've watched more often than we should recently.

I see the North Stand is filling up. I just hope St Johnstone don't play silly buggers and cordon off a large section on the stand. There's nothing worse than fans being crammed into individual sections, when there's rows of unoccupied seats in the adjacent cordoned off area.

Sorry to say this happens every away Scottish Cup tie every year . Great away support , great chance of going through  total disappointment, with a inept gutless performance. Letting a large travelling support down. Hope it's better this time and we remember it's a cup tie and play it like one for a change.

Cmon ye Well.

I would imagine the end section will defo be cordoned off given the Fair City lot stand in that corner......

Yes, I get that Joe. I think there are 3 empty sections left at the East end. Even if they were to cordon off the end one that would be accommodating and courteous.

I'm pretty certain that would not be the case. In nearly forty years of following Motherwell, I can count on one hand the times fans have walked away from a cup defeat saying, "Well, we lost to a team destined for relegation, but at least we went down fighting! Fair play to the manager and players for that effort!"

We all know that even if we do win, there’ll be the usual crowd reluctant to offer any sort of credit to the team or the manager. Instead, it’ll be a discussion of how poor the opposition were, how we should have beaten them anyway, and the usual nitpicking about aspects of our performance.

And of course, we can’t forget the classic, “Why don’t we play like that every week?” if we happen to put in a good shift and everything clicks for us.
