New manager and his assistant on Sportscene right now?

Do you really think he will leave Hibs at this point in the season.

I am in the Ryan Lowe in camp now , without knowing too much I haven't heard anything at all negative whatsoever

If we looking for something different, maybe now is the time . Not someone like a Billy Dodds , Jim Duffy etc and no disrespect at all to them

I'm fine with disrespecting both of them as managerial candidates

Tam Cowan today putting Neil Lennon's name forward on BBC Scotland, nope for me

He did also say Brian Caldwell's Dad died recently, maybe a good reason why there has not been any appointment yet. If Stephen Frail is in charge against Ross County let's see how he does before making any judgement

As much as its good to have a well fan on the wireless. Cowan is an old timer. Stuck in the past. His ideas, while they might be useful, are hardly dynamic ir forward thinking. Hopefully our new guys at the helm contunue to look outside the box.

Kettlewell has been described as ‘dynamic’ by a current employee. Be careful what you wish for.

Watching sportscene there and noticing Craggs on with Alan Stubbs - is that a possible pairing for the manager’s job? Is Stubbs trying to keep himself relevant with the Scottish game🤷‍♂️

Who would we consider as "forward thinking" or "dynamic"?  Courts? Fotheringham? Maloney?

Are we looking for someone that switches up tactics in a horses for courses way? Because that seems pretty rare.

We're never going to accept someone coming in and changing a philosophy (whatever that means) because that takes time. If our new manager starts the way Simo did at St J, there will be pitchforks aplenty. Even though it looks like their patience could pay off.

Of the names touted so far, lowe looks like a great option, with success at multiple teams in the english lower leagues. However, he was getting slated for defensive performances and not scoring enough goals at preston, so we may not get the swashbuckling style he was lauded for at bury.

This is a great opportunity for someone to come in and figure out the league in preparation for a big summer, where there will be scope tonreshape the squad then all the loans and out of contract folk are away. As such, I'm good if it takes a bit longer to get someone in.

Ultimately a portion of our support is going to be underwhelmed, or furious.

So, a new manager changes nothing then. That's pretty much it win, lose or draw.

Condolences to Brian

Never heard it but that's not helpful stuff from TC..lennon would be my worst possible appointment and at best would split the support, I wonder if lennon has been in his ear asking for a plug.

Didn't hear it either, but I don't think Tam Cowan touting lennon will have any influence on the boards decision.... or if it does we have much bigger problems 😬

Edit: and by that I don't mean the next manager in charge!!

Aye i saw the two of them in Upper Crust the other day , going halfers on a salad box with a baguette.  Obviously Tam is in cahoots with Neil for the gig.

I know they are reasonably pally so might be something in it....but if you've seen them in upper crust, sounds like a done deal.

Yogi hughes was in front of them though in the queue, discussing the tuna crunch and how it “hid a bit o character aboot it”

That could swing in in his favour.

Is Neil lennon the man to take the club forward ?     I think he e would have the short term fix desired, long term he just morfs into a slebbering seething raving lunatic ( according to hivs pal of mine ) would he stick around for the normal 2 years our managers get ?

does he want a “ sacked by motherwell “ on his CV, or will he get another chance at a biggar club ?

sometimes i would think the easy media money without the headaches

is the way forward, personally i dont really know who fits in with us but whoever it is needs to find a formation and personal that could play the way SK had is playing at the start

hard to break down, n score against, and attack n defend as a unit, with a few goals for good measure

only make take onit but hey ho

we shall see

Media money seems like a great way to go, but for lots of ex-players and ex-managers, getting involved in the day-to-day is obviously a habit they can't kick. That's why you see many commit thousands of thankless hours to worse than average lower league clubs for long spells in their career.

no wonder its an easy gig to basically talk shite as Alan Preston, Chick Young , Paddy Bonnar have proved for years and all fuckin dreadful.
