Folk can talk about who they want and who they think should get it all they like.

But it’s gonna be Frail.

Based on what exactly?

He hasnt indicated he wants it.

There have been no rumours to indicate he is being considered.

He isnt even on the Bookies list.

Is this one of those situations where you predict defeat in order to lower expectations only to be delighted when we actually do something good?

If Frail has spent the past 2 weeks working on a 4-3-3, and deploys that tactic today, then perhaps we could assume that’s his job application submitted…

Yeah I agree more than likely they needed to fill out the article a bit so filled it with something that isn't going to happen. It would be an utterly left field and some appointment but would enjoy listening to reasoning behind it lol.

It has been pretty hush hush about the whole process but I have a feeling the new man might be in the stands watching the Ross County game.

Of all the names linked with the job Neil Lennon is probably the most likely I have seen that might get it.

It's bloody freezing yoday and it's a bit of a thought paying money to go and watch us v RC...if Lennon is in the stand , maybe I will just sit in house on a Saturday...hoping board have done their homework.

Just keep an eye on the press photographer's if they are pointing their lenses at the POD, the new manager will be there, either that or you see a few of them outside upper crust before the game.

I see Ketsbaia is in the papers again this morning touting himself.

Again no mention even from him that he was even interviewed.

Smacks very much of a guy desperate to get his name in the papers so he can get a job he feels is worthy of his talent!

Folks

Lets give whoever comes in the benefit of the doubt until next season, this squad that SK has put together is a horror show so the new guy has utter garbage to work with!!!!!!!!

Here is the biggest problem, and one we have walked ourselves into.

Previously, when replacing a manager mid season, we have had the players there for the new gaffer to work with, this time around, I dont think even pep could keep us up.

The CEO needs to sort both the manager and the broader senior roles within the club.

A few folk have mentioned McCall being one of the last decent managers we had 10 years ago.

just comparing some of the squad from then to now (on McCalls last season when the wheels came off)
Lee Hollis, Steve McManus, Shaun Hutchinson, Simon Ramsden, ZFA, Stevie Hammell, Chris Cadden, Keith Lasley,  Faddy, Lee Erwin,  John Sutton, Lional Ainsworth.

Majority would breeze into our starting 11. We're probably not that different but it was clear we had
1) better quality
2) several players who came through the youth team
3) 22/30 from the squad were Scotts

now
1) quality lacking
2) Miller & Wilson from youth team
3) 10/30 are Scotts.   Majority now from England.

Overall I feel we've really lost our way, the model of brining in journeyman from all over has lost our identity.

We were always known for being a little bit amateurish but had plenty of folk around who cared. The core of players I'd question how many really care about the club. Same for some of the senior roles.

In addition to appointing a new manager we need a long hard look at our strategy and getting back to our core. I know people often joke about having Van Der Gage, Nijholt, McFadden, Craigan, Lasley etc all back but at least they gave a damn.
