I think all of this could have been handled better but I don't think it's necessarily bullshit. Some people who were at both St Johnstone games have said there was a lot of abuse directed at him and players from a small section of our support - not just booing. The issue is that all fans are now being judged in the same way.

I also think the reaction to that interview was a bit over the top - even if I was really annoyed by what he said - I still wouldn't go to a game and scream and shout at him or anyone else - fans who've done that have made their choice to do it. 

I completely understand your points - I'm pretty sure Kettlewell knows the entire fan base wasn't against him - it just seems that the statement was rushed out and the board haven't considered what the backlash would be against the wider fan base.

The well society also sent an email out saying they were sorry to lose the manager in the circumstances and said something about reflecting on the impact robust challenges can have. I wasn't really sure what to think when I read that tbh.

And it's worked, he's now the victim a good manager forced out of a job by the foul mouthed fans. Think the club and media team could have handled it better, the statement put out by Caldwell threw all the support under a bus..   really glad I can't go on Sunday,  my enthusiasm at an all time low which is very unusual for me.

Note to SK, good luck in future career but maybe refer to Mr McCall.  That is how you resign with dignity

John McGlynn has a patchy record in management and fans of Hearts, Livingston and certainly Raith Rovers might have something to say. Of the early names to be mentioned I'd say Scott Brown could be a possibility.

What I will say is well played Stuart Kettlewell, came out looking like the victim.
He's not the messiah he's a very naughty boy.

and last year put out LC by St Mirren in 1st knock out round and SC by Morton in the 4th round playing the same guff we've played for nearly two season but doesnt suit the "last 4 games" nonsense by the media.

I don't care what club a player played for, I just want best person for the job.  I wouldn't have a problem with Brown or Lennon, both would set high standards and not tolerate slackers.

Not a lot, that’s the job of the Motherwell board which obviously has 2 WS members on it. 
I’m a member of the society but firmly believe that the two boards have two jobs and apart from working together on certain things they shouldn’t interfere with the others role. 
 

edit: I’ve no doubt there are some who think that the WS should have a vote to rubber stamp any appointment

The clubs website shows 6 directors the chairman, the chief executive, finance director - both club employees - and 3 others, 2 of whom I presume are WS appointed.
