If you eliminated OF connections, we would have missed out on the successful spells from Davie Hay, Tommy McLean, Mark McGhee (1st spell), Stuart McCall and Craig Brown. What connection did Craig Brown have with either of them?

Yeah - according to Wikipedia he made the grand total of "0" appearances for Rangers. 31 appearances in 10 years isn't a great return. Kmcalpin
According to the BBC there had been over 100 applications as of an hour ago. No appointment before Sunday, which shouldn't shock anyone.
Lord Tanamo
Let's not forget the almost unique situation that we are not in a desperate situation, frantically trying to avoid relegation. We are therefore not looking for an escape artist. Personally I'd like to see someone with a wealth of English Div1/2 experience/contacts and a reputation for attacking football and developing younger players. Hammell was the 'easy' choice but a gamble, and not ready. Kettlewell was the 'easy' choice, but had failed at Ross County - which should have had alarm bells ringing. No need to rush into this. Take your time MFC and get it right please.

I think that's a reasonable skill set on which to base our search. Certainly someone with a reputation for fielding attack minded sides would go a long way to rekindling the support's enthusiasm. thewelllfan
I'm seeing Chris Hughton being linked with the job that would be a really interesting one. He's been around the premeir league and championship in England for a long time and to me would be quite an exciting appointment. Lots of experience and great contacts not convinced he'd take the job tho.

fizoxy
I'm guessing Huguton is via bookies odds, which isnt worth much. He'd be an excellent appointment, but probably still has some better paying jobs in him yet.
