El Grew
I think perhaps St.Johnstone may be too far behind to avoid automatic relegation and St. Mirren and Hearts have too much about them to be drawn into a scrap for the play-off spot. That would leave ourselves, Ross County and Dundee as the ones involved in that and I think the next few games will go a long way to decide who will end up there. Sat 22nd February Dundee Utd v Motherwell Ross County v Dundee Wed 26th February Motherwell v Dundee St. Johnstone v Ross County Thoughts? Kmcalpin
I don't think they will decide our season. I'm writing off the Dundee United and Sevco games. The the new man's season really begins after that. A point against Dundee at home will steady the ship. I'm looking for an improvement in confidence, work rate, and organisation in the next 2 games. grizzlyg
A draw at Tannadice and staggies v Dundee drawing would be ideal. Then beat Dundee but as we all know ....we are brutal at the crucial 6 pointers....hence reason we are not 8pts ahead of county
weeyin
Sorting out our defence will define our season. So far, it has not been sorted.

He’s one of those rare players who has a consistently reliable level of performance. He reminds me very much of past stalwarts like Joe Wark, Martin ‘Kaiser’ Corrigan and Brian ‘Buff’ Martin. Unfortunately he’s out for 4 months after a thigh op and he’s approaching 35, an age at which it gets increasingly harder to recover from injury. I work beside a Hibee who said that he was a 7 or 8 out of 10 every week when we signed them. He also couldn't believe we signed Tavares on loan
wellfan
McGinn’s contract expires in the summer and he’ll be 35 in October. He’s currently a big loss but I doubt the new manager will offer him a new deal.
Stuwell2
Too many points still up for grabs, yes we’ve been playing badly but others could also falter before the season ends.
wellfan
The new manager should spend the next 10 days cancelling loans and kicking arses. Teaching the remaining players how to pass and defend the ball would also be a bonus.
wellsince75
I'm not sold the next 10 days will shape our season. Dundee game is important but that's not long to give the new mgr time to assess the team, formations etc. Not losing the Dundee game feels important. It will if we can win 2 games and get back in the top 6! But yeh, if we dont and end up in the bottom 6 as seems more likely, then what happens after the split will define our season. We still have 4 points over Dundee and 10 over St Johnstone which is a handy advantage at the moment.
