I’d disagree. We have a bench of 9. Despite the known injuries, none of Blaney, Koutroumbis, Dickson, Moses or Tavares made the squad of 20 on Saturday.

It has to be seen as a positive appointment. As has been said there are no guarantees with any appointment. He has solid coaching credentials and has had management roles at significant clubs.  We should be positive about the fact that he wanted to come to Fir Park. He would not have chosen Motherwell unless he thought it would be good for him as well as the club.

Interesting article once I’d managed to get it translated, seems that we did approach him if the translation is correct.

So does that mean Daws sourced him using his magic spreadsheet ??

I've got a feeling this might be a rough ride initially, I can almost hear Kenny McIntyre and his cohorts on radio getting their knives sharpened for a big pile on if the new regime doesn't start well. 5th when he left etc etc. They love nothing more than a crisis they can feast on (a la Adeen, Hibs, Hearts)

It's going to be important that the fan base sticks behind him even if initial results disappoint, and I think it will as there is universal acceptance he has a huge task on his hands. (as long as an improvement in tactics, work rate and aggression is on show)

To be fair to Kenny McIntyre, on Sat he said he misjudged the situation at Fir Park and essentially was initially taking things at face value (5th, Cup semi etc) and was unaware of the issues around style of play, 1 shot on goal etc.

He didn't clearly admit that, but reacted to the others who had seen through the "victim" pose.

After the sunsport interview yesterday I think we all make even bigger effort to get right behind Michael and Ahmet.

These lads need all the backing from us and plllleeeeaaasseeeee lots of patience.   It's a massive rebuild so won't happen overnight and heyyyy they might get a tune out of the players, even the ones who take a ridiculous amount of stick on here ( SOD, Halliday). These lads wear the jersey and don't deliberately go out to play poorly.  Encouraging them makes a huge difference.

In my experience the overall percentage of eejits isn't much larger in the US than it is in most countries. However, the electoral college, and the senate seat system, gives them much more influence, and that is the root of a lot of problems.

For example, every state gets 2 seats in the Senate. North and South Dakota combined have a population of just over 1.7 million. California has a population of nearly 40 million. The Dakotas get 4 seats in the Senate and California only gets 2. With only 100 seats in the Senate, that is a big discrepancy,

The US politcal and legal system is way more complicated and nuanced than I understood before I moved here, but I quickly came to learn there is no "American way" or "American point of view".  The federation very much makes it more like a continent of 50 countries than any single, unified force. If you take a trip from Hawaii through California to Idaho, Utah, Montana, Tennessee, Alabama, Kansas, Ohio, Florida, Connecticut, Vermont and Massachusetts (not the most direct route), you are going to see basically 13 different countries in culture, law and politics.

Of course it's the eejits that get the attention, but when you look at everyone who voted for Brexit, who believed staying part of the UK was the only way to retain EU membership, who voted for Boris, who kept the Tories in power for 14 years, who made Farage a Euro MP etc. there is plenty stupidity to share around.

Sadly, much like the first-past-the-post system in the UK, the electoral system in the US suits the politicians more than it suits the electorate, so it's unlikely to change any time soon.

We now rejoin the current programme that was already in progress.

I just watched the highlights today. Sod plays a part in all 3 goals, I can count on one hand the good games in all his time here....but I'll get behind him if he plays , he's onto his 5th manager now

I've never booed a player or manager yet, but ffs stop how many times is he going to get caught on wrong side of his man?

But thats the issue right there. Given what his job entails, you would think he would be reasonably up to speed on every premier league team. Its not like one of us being asked our educated position on the current state of affairs at Dundee for example.

Scottish football journalism has long since had a problem with amatuers just posting it in

Totally agree, he frustrates the hell out of me. Feel sorry he was put in that centre defence role.  He either plays RWB or he is on bench. Seemples

I've never booed a player or manager yet and I get why the team got booed on Saturday as hard as it was to hear it

I'll give the new manager support - I hope he does well and if we can stay up - that's good enough for me. It's obvious the players have lost confidence again like they did when we were on that 15 game winless run.
