I think its safe to say the new manager has hit the ground running.

2 huge results in 4 days that has us realistically looking at 1 more win to see us safe this season.

We are back in the conversation for top 6, which if it could be achieved would be massive, as it would allow the CEO/Exec Board to start setting budgets for next season at the earliest opportunity.

That would allow contract talks to be started with anyone we would like to keep or new players we would lime to get in.

The fact that we have got these results and been a lot easier on the eye isnt lost on the support either.

Great to be feeling such positivity again so soon!

My brother said 3-5 points when I asked him tonight but I think three would do given that other results will go for us at some point

Early days but what a start from Michael and Ahmet.    So far showing that we actually do have good players if used properly and allowed to play with freedom.  We were all dreading relegation battle but now chasing Europe but we all know that could change quickly.

All we ask is we play in a style we can appreciate with total effort.   Job done so far and it looks like players have totally bought into it.  The reaction from subs sums up our team spirit.

I'm not really bothered about Europe tbh. Top six will do

Winning the Dundee game was huge, because nothing gets players to buy into a system quicker than proving it works with a result.

I'm sure being encouraged to put a foot on the ball and make passes helps too.

And while wee Barry was talking about his tactic of "telling them what it means to be a Rangers player" our new gaffer was telling us how our second goal was exactly how we had planned it from the analysis.

VfB Stuttgart meets Alloa Athletic.

"VfB Stuttgart meets Alloa Athletic": nicely put.

It's clear from MW's post-match comments that he had a clear idea of how Rangers could be beaten tactically and planned accordingly. The players, to their credit, executed it.

And Stuttgary play in a hoop. It's a sign ah tell ye!

Fully on board with Wimmer.

Really is quite the turnaround and have gone from dreading eye-bleeding games, to eagerly anicipating decent football.

Even if we were to lose we know there will be some decent stuff in there.

Wimmer seems tactically astute and is quite personable/has a bit of man-management about him, which makes sense given his background.

He's been getting a tune out of Andrews and I'm wondering if we can manave a loan for him again next year. Coventry are progressing towards a play-off place and if they get promoted, Andrews will be less likely to feature for them.

Given he now seems to be flourishing with us, they may hopefully allow it. Obviously down to the player's preference as well.

I'm quite looking forward to seeing what we look like after a pre-season under him.

Its a superb start. Obviously the wins help but the turnaround in style, intent & intesity compared to what we have been used to is there for all to see.

Cant get too carried away yet but its very encouraging & dare i say it, exciting! Been a while since we could say that.

Enjoy him while we have him. If he turms out to be as good as we hope then he's not going to stick around long.

Lose to St Mirren and folk will be on saying he's overrated. 🤪🤪, still early days but very encouraging

What are the odds of us winning 3 games in a row? However, if we can win this it will be a big step in our bid to be in top six. It will make it very hard for St Mirren and Kilmarnock to catch us with only 3 games to the split, leaving us to battle it out with Hearts and County for top 6
And hearts play County the same day as we play the buddies

sorry!!!  This should be in the match thread for St Mirren.

All I will say is that Kettlewell won first 2 games in charge and we thought he was great.

However somehow it feels different this time,  seems a great guy that players are buying into and want to play for, ahmet also

Was first three for Kettlewell was it not ? The players were bought into what he was doing for the remainder of the season he took over. Didn't go wrong till a bit after that. You could probably argue that they bought in for the first round of games this season.

Wimmer's influence on the team so far has been remarkable and he gets a standing ovation from me for it ! But i'm always nervous about getting too excited just because I know that the vast majority of managers of most teams meet an acrimonious end at some point 🙂 Lets just hope the Wimmer revolution lasts a bit longer.

Not only that, but professional managers, coaches and players start figuring out ways to play against new systems.

On the plus side, a high press is difficult for any team to counteract if done well. It typically takes lots of short passes from the back when you have a tight marker. But teams will find a way to make it more difficult for us and, as always, that is when the coaching staff start to earn their money.

Yes this does feel so different this time you just have to see the players reaction. After two weeks of training that’s happening now we shall see the players looking sharper and fitter.

Let's not forget Kettlewell had a Striker that at the time that could have shot at the moon and it would have went in Wimmer hasn't had the luxury of a player like that to bail him out.

The new management team is building a good foundation let's hope it's just keeps getting better and better the more they get to work with the players.

I am loving the pressing they looked like a pack of wolves on the hunt for blood on Saturday and it was fantastic to watch after the utter horrible stuff we have had to endure.

Onwards and upwards!

To be fair, though, it was SK that quickly figured out how a formation to get the best from him. He'd scored 4 in the 15 games before SK took over and scored 16 in the fourteen games after he took over.
