We seem to have Uniteds number this season in the same way Ross County have ours.

Wouldnt be surprised to see us get some sort of result.

A draw would be a more than decent start for the new manager....

Id be astonished , each game has been a single goal victory and confidence a lot higher and our position far less precarious.

Would take a draw just now. But let's see what happens.  Players need to up their performance also.  With new management team in place we hope for a positive reaction.

If all the fans can get behind MW then as Hot Chocolate once said....."Everyone's a Wimmer Baby"

More coats please 🤪🤪

I prefer Abba.......

Not expecting much as you can't turn a supertanker around quickly. I'd take a draw right now. I'm looking for an uptick in attitude though and application though.

I think we are currently more like the vital spark than a super tanker Dave, puffing along and not getting very far. Hopefully we get the new manager bounce and get a decent result.

I see someone on P & B has advocated a "scorched earth" approach, presumably to eradicate any trace of the SK regime. Given the fanbase's feelings towards SK, I get that. We do need an element of short term continuity through the likes of Obika, Foster and Clarkson though. However, in the medium to long term,  Herr Wimmer needs to introduce the winds of change to our off the field football set up.

As an aside, I think the Club Board has handled a difficult situation very well, that would do credit to MI5. Matters dealt with quietly and professionally.

The supertanker will be scrapped during the summer, thankfully. Until then, if he can get them pressing high (aka defending from the front) and more active, we may just stop haemorrhaging goals and may nick a few more instead. He’s got a massive job on his hands.

The only whiff of a leak I heard was overhearing a couple of the padded seats club blazer and tie brigade having a conversation outside the entrance about Frail being "definitely away on Monday then"

I'd be fine for Obika and Foster to go - Did Obika get a job to help cancel out his 2 year player contract.
I'd also send Dawes on his merry way.  Lead of recruitment who doesn't live in the same country doesn't work for me.

Keep Clarkson - but that's purely based on him being a Well man.

Clarkson is the academy director and Foster is the lead development coach, so unless there's an issue with the academy or young players, they don't need to be replaced with a new manager. I know they assist with first team stuff, but i cant believe they're much to blame for results on a Saturday. They'll have their own targets that they have to meet.

The same goes for Daws, it depends on what his actual job is and where his influence starts compared to the manager.  As with the others, it would come down to whether we can get someone that can do better.

For Saturday, I wouldn't be surprised if the squad is pretty much the same with maybe some subtle tweaks. It would be nice if it turned out Ward, Koutroumbis, Andrews and Dickson were all world beaters in hiding, or if a simple instruction turns harry paton into the motherwell modric, but most likely they're going to stick with the experienced players and introduce incremental changes.

Watt can't play though, which is nice.

Miller and Slattery having a game under their belt is a good thing, and hopefully we see AP back soon.

I lost track of the goalie saga. Where did we get Ward from again? Can someone summarize for me?

Ward is a free agent we signed on deadine day. Before that he was playing in Finland for AC Oulu. He's only 24 and played about 100 games in the last 3 years so I assume he'd be alright can't say I've ever watched tho.

  • Thanks 1
