I went with Slattery for his goals, but truth be told, there was no great standout today. Balcombe had no chance with the goals, particularly the first one. the defence in front was all over the place a couple of times though I thought Balmer did well when he came on, maybe playing in the middle of the three is his best position. The mid-field played some nice stuff at times but then gave the ball away too cheaply in bad areas and up front we were pretty much non-existent. That said, St. Mirren were a disgrace today, I was worried in advance that that would be their approach and, sadly, I was spot on with that concern

Slattery for his goals and attitude.  Thought SOD had a good game as well and although he had a couple of brain farts they were not in vital positions.  Thomson also did well.

Unusual seeing one player dominated votes so I will go with plange for the man of " I am s**t scared" award

Poor guy looked out of his depth and quite relieved to get taken off whereas Slattery seemed to revel in the physicality of yesterday's game. In the highlights you can see how cleverly he got round Gogic for his first goal and he wasn't intimidated by Iacovitti either. All in all an excellent performance from him.

Slattery was excellent yesterday and is definitely worthy of a new contract. It’s so pleasing to see him come back from his injuries and perform so well.

On the other hand, Plange was totally dominated by Gogic and Lacovitti. He offered nothing, unfortunately, and Watt should’ve been on sooner.

Special mention to Balcombe for having utterly honking distribution. I expect to see Ox given a chance back between the sticks soon.

Yes, Watt may be slow now but the ball tends to stick to him and he's a fly old pro who would have drawn fouls from G&I, The Gruesome Twosome, and he played a part in Slattery's  second goal.

Incidentally, I noticed the BBC commentator described it as "trickling" into the net. Hmmmmm: not to sure about that.....

The bbc you say . That well known bastion of Scottish football coverage . A shower of Sherman tanks.
