We could replace almost all of the current squad in my opinion Maybe only Oxborough and Slattery (Miller as well of course but unlikely )are worth keeping.  Unfortunately we have to be realistic and accept that we will keep some of them as squad players and hopefully replace those definitely leaving with a bit more quality.   Hard to tell what way the manager wants to play as he has just had to work with what was left him so far.  But would like quality rather than quantity

Agree with the sentiment, not many I'd way to keep.

From the current squad Ox, Gordon , Slattery , Andrews are all pretty solid.    Maybe Andrews and AP could be added to that list but overall pretty poor standard all round.

Be delighted to see a reboot of our recruitment strategy, stating with replacing the recruitment team.

The squad has been all over the place this season due to injuries and quite a few poor signings.it's not going to be easy with the finances available but we need to get back to a leaner squad with a bit more quality with a bit of pace in the right areas.there isn't one area in the squad that doesn't need attention so we're in for a busy summer, you would have to think that wimmer will be interested in looking at some players from the likes of germany and austria.from the sounds of it the aberdeen game was a bit of an eye opener for wimmer and there might be a few players that have already put the final nail in there coffin for being kept on for next season.

I think Sparrow has earned it he has probably shown more in games than alot of players this season.

The issue is the recruitment team now that's where we need to change things in.Daws was brought in because he was buddies and worked with Alexander that ship has sailed and sailed again so time for someone else's to press search on the pc and see what players come up.

But honestly I wouldn't miss any of them if they left us but I shall be sad if McGinn has to call it a day he has been really good for us.

Players Under contract for next season

GK-Oxborough

Defenders- SOD, Balmer, Gordon, Wilson, Koutrombis

Midfielders- Miller, Slattery, Sparrow, Nicholson

Forwards- Maswanhise, Stam, Robinson, Stuparevic

Major Squad Rebuild needed.

Would be looking to shift Koutrombis, Stuparevic and Nicholson as well.

I would actually give Halliday another year. We still need experience and I don't think he is as bad as some make out

He's the ever present this season, he's not missed a game.

When we play 3 man midfield he struggles, which was more due to our midfield being outnumbered and overrun.  We've seen a much better version of him under Wimmer due to the set up.

At most he'll be a squad player but we need to be careful not to just give everyone a contract or we'll have the same squad as this year.

this is where I think we need to be ruthless otherwise we're signing up for more of the same.

This is the key for me.

With the number of players we have under contract, some of whom we would proably like to move on, we are going to have to box clever.

If we could move on some of the contracted players that would be ideal and give us more leeway to sign others back up.

For me Balmer is a hothead and has had enough opportunity to see why Palace let him go.

Koutroumbis is an interesting one as the one full game he has had, he has looked ok. But the fact he hasnt featured since would suggest he isnt in the plans.

Nicholson, Stuparevic and Robinsons injuries are all a concern. Would probably move all of them on as I dont really see a future for any of them in a Wimmer team, but there are unlikely to be any takers until they are all back fit.

The rest Id keep.

Of those OOC, Id probably offer Casey, Seddon, Halliday, Paton and maybe Armstrong something.

Casey will probably be away but the others are good enough to be in the squad, but that will rely on Wimmer identifying better players within our budget to increase the quality of the squad so that we dont end up with just the same starting 11 as this season.

Some tough decisions to be made and we probably wont be able to move on everyone we would like or indeed keep those we dont want to let go.

Yeah. I'd agree. Paton. Halliday. Casey and Seddon but I also think Casey will be off.

There's a very good chance the new manager will need more than one or two windows to completely revamp this squad into something more suitable for how he wants to play. I hope he's given time to do that.

I have a feeling much of the media will try to label him as an "out of his depth foreigner" if things don't go our way from the off.

Of the OOC players I'd probably only be looking to extend Paton and maybe Seddon. You can find a younger version of Halliday quite easily and Dan Casey needs to be let go makes too many mistakes for me.

Of the under contract players.

Miller will be sold. I'd be looking to move on Koutrombis. Stuperavic, Nicholson and SOD but that's probably wishful thinking.

Defence has needed an overhaul for 2 seasons. Gordon is the sort of player you want in the middle of the 3 just need to find the right outside Cbs. Balmer fine as a squad player.

Keeper is sorted with Oxborough just need to bring in competition/a No2 Gk.

Midfield needs an overhaul. Miller will be gone. Slattery and Paton both good options to have in there, but need reinforcements.

We need new WB'S. Sparrow has been decent at RWB so far but not convinced on him there long-term. Wilson has fell of a cliff since the start of the season maybe needs a loan.

We need to bring in attackers that suit the system. Stam, Maswanhise and even Robinson are good options to have and build around.
