No different than signing any number of English lower league journeyman, as has been our want of late. Circumstances were not kind to him down south and although I wasnt that impressed with him when we played United, I still think he has sufficient energy and quality to do a job for us. He would be a significant upgrade on Davor imho. Regardless, I dont think the wages we are offering will be of any interest to him these days. Unless United dont offer him anything and other suitors are thin on the ground.... Expand again I ask, have you watched him playing for Dundee Utd. But there are a fair few poor squads in this league (we were beaten by one yesterday) so getting a couple of results shouldn't be beyond any coach that belongs at this level. His persevering with a shape that's not working, with a keeper that can't catch a cold and with playing our best player out of position is fuck all to do with Kettlewell...

Expand The first couple of games under Wimmer (if you exclude united cause he hadn't been there long enough) we played a higher press and played some bits of decent football, particularly against Rangers. We had flashes against St Midden but nowhere near as much good football and high press. That shows the players are capable of doing it at times or when properly motivated. So, the question is, is Wimmer asking the players to approach the game differently the last two games or are they just not doing what he's asking them to do (something Kettlewell also said). Kmcalpin
This is 95% on Kettlewell and the players, but yes, MW isn't completely blameless. I don't get playing loanee Balcombe in preference to the Ox; and fielding only one striker on Saturday. Yes, our shape is also wrong. All that said, St Mirren, Aberdeen and Kilmarnock sussed out that playing an "industrial or agricultural" midfield would be enough to knock us completely out of our stride. We need to adpat an change PDQ.
weeyin
We have tried a few different shapes, but the underlying issue is that Wimmer wants us to be more comfortable with the ball and only about half the team is good enough for that. In particular, the central defensive 3 struggle to make one pass between them. After our defensive atrocities in the previous season I was 100% on board with dumping them all and rebuilding from scratch. Would be equally happy for that to happen this summer.
