For a game that carried so much pre-KO, that has to be one of the most "insiped" matches I've ever witnessed.

It was never going to be anything else from our point of view. Apart from the fact that we are shite, for as long as I can remember whenever any game is hyped up or is billed as important we never turn up*.

We got away with it yesterday because Hearts were also hopeless and Shankland missed a chance in stoppage time that he would have buried last season. We scraped a point but it was more down to Hearts shooting themselves in the foot rather than anything we did to earn it.

* I know that there have been occasions where we have won important games but it just seems like we never turn up in such games. Hiya weeyin 👋 Hiya spiderpig 👋

Fair enough, it's all about opinions but for me Miller has been poor for a few games now, most of the play seems to pass him by.

Oh I agree Miller has been border line awful for a number of weeks but I thought yesterday he won a lot,  broke up a lot of the Hearts play, yeah sure he hit some wayward passes but tell me a Motherwell player who didn't. Thompson should never darken our door again a dreadful player and Hearts knew it they pressed  down our left most of the game cos they know hes poor.

Miller has been poor since coming back from injury, between that and almost certainly succumb to the crap playing around him,it's no wonder his form has fell off a cliff.hes the type that wants to get on the ball and make passes but what chance does he have when there's never any movement up front to play forward passes, the full backs never get on enough to play the ball in behind, then it becomes all slow and tip tappy.he looked like he was frustrated yesterday especially in the second half and over hit a few passes as he was trying to force things.

There are a lot more than Thompson that should be shown the door, Tavares, Andrews, Robinson, Balcome, Dickson, zdravkovski, Ebiye to name a few.

This summer is going to be one of the biggest rebuilds in recent seasons.

Wouldn't disagree with any of them but in no way means we should keep him. Depending on Dundees result today means our rebuilding could be a lot more difficult than it looks right now.

Assuming that Dundee lose tomorrow, then surely if we win one more game, then they "only" need to win 3 games, as we'd be 8 pts ahead of them no?

Aye, my bad.

Shouldnt challenge my half arsed arithmetic late on a Saturday night! 😍😍😍

I could see Dundee winning 3 of the last 5 , us at Dens, St Johnstone and Ross County are not hugely difficult asks for them. They have Simon Murray who is on fire this season , we have players who couldn't start a fire with a box of matches.

Edit: maybe no Dundees defence is fuckin shocking. Hibs tore them apart😁😁😁Dundee have now conceded 71 goals , thats a shocking stat.

Normally based on the fixtures this season we should be away to Dundee, Hearts and Ross County. However we've only had 16 home games pre split so we might end up getting 3 at home. I know its not an exact science and a lot of permeables but 3 homes games would be a real bonus. Hearts being in the bottom 6 would not have been in the SPFL calculator so could throw a spanner in the works.

Can certainly see Dundee doing ok post split. My point being that if they did they would be taking points off everyone else anyay, so wouldnt just be us under threat. Ross County and Killie would also be looking over their shoulder. I know I got the arithmetic wrong, but the premise is still the same.

Fair point. The fact everyone cuts everyone's throat post split thats what might save us and by god we need all the help we can get cos we are rank rotten.

Team that finished yesterday had 5 loanees, add other loanees that didn't feature and also out of contract players and it will be a totally different squad next season.

Also McGinn, Gordon, Seddon and Stama missing doesn't help.

As I said to my mates yesterday,  it's like keeping a car ticking along till it's MOT is due.  Just want to survive this season then we rebuild but Wimmer needs to be given a chance and his first transfer window hopefully gives us an idea of how we will look

You're right. It's not just about the players on loan. It's about the injuries as well and personally. I can't be bothered with the constant misery around Motherwell fc. Yes we are rubbish. Yes we might go down but does that need to be highlighted on every other post on here. I'm personally sick of it. I get it. Some fans think we are crap.

They aren't good enough. But hopefully we will get tenth at least to stay up

The negativity on here in some quarters is staggering. You get some people predicting we are going to lose every week no matter who we play

I also think it's astonishing that some people think that managers can offload players who are still under contract. Edited to say I've seen that elsewhere not just on this forum. On Facebook folk were calling for everyone apart from Ox to go (eyeroll).

I saw a post on here yesterday saying Balcombe has to go - stop press - he's on loan

Rant over.

Agreed but that's largely down to our catastrophic injury list this season. The worst I've come across in over 60 years. Quality is another matter entirely.

You're right

I take this back. There are people far more insufferable on SO than P&B. That said, I’m more than aware that I may be one of them, but I’m pretty sure I’m not the worst as I do generally try to post constructively instead of the constant grievance harvesting and whining bullshit that can often dominate this forum.

I actually wrote to Motherwell fc a long time ago asking if they would sell macaroni pies as I don't eat meat and they sent me a really lovely letter back saying yes they would 🤣🤣. At least 25 years ago. Probably longer. So - I'm the person responsible for getting maccy pies to Fir Park 🤣

Best thing is - I'm vegan now and I can't even eat them -, sad times 🤣
