I won't go back any further, but it would be an unusual table this year if 42 is anything less than 10th.

i was concerned today as I just didnt see us having the necessary fight to beat st Johnstone. I failed to take into account how sh1te st Johnstone are.

i think we have enough in us to pick up 1 more point in the remaining games and I think County’s result today was a shocker for them, so I see them staying in the play off position. I’d love to see Killie in that position but due to them having another home game at that abomination of a park I think they’ll claw the points required there.

I'm sure Ox will be back next season. I just asked my brother the same question and he said managers are very reluctant to drop keepers. It was the same last year when Kelly had a poor spell and folk were calling for him to be dropped. I said the other week on here that I thought Ox should go back in goals and it was commented that I wasn't being supportive enough of Balcombe 

Apparently Mawhanise sprained something in training - not sure what though - ankle maybe

I wouldn’t say “talking shite” it’s just me making an observation that we cannot help ourselves chucking the opposition a lifeline when we are two goals ahead. Which we have done so many times over the years. Fortunately today it didn’t end with us dropping points.

I'm not a balcombe fan, but it was absolutely clear that poor defending caused both goals. For the first, Sparrow got caught and mcpake had the freedom of fir park to play a ball back to Kirk, who got in front of his man.

The second was just as bad, we left them with acres of space in the midfield and on the left, then it was played into the St J player who had all the time in the world to pick his spot.

Maybe balcombe could have saved those, but the shots should never have happened.

He is very shaky from high balls, and that drop in the 2nd half was almost as bad as Ox's v hearts.

Delighted with those 3 points , especially when some thought we wouldn't win another game this season

We do have a habit of making things difficult for ourselves, but I would gladly have taken any kind of win before the game

Thankfully my pessimism for todays game unfounded. Played pretty well for 65 mins . Fell back into our achilles heel of falling back and inviting opposition onto us. Thought Watt MoTM by a country mile but also thought Miller and Slattery played well and wont please the SOD haters but thought he had a solid game too. Thankfully Wimmer can seriously look towards next seasons rebuild now.

Not that he's our next £3m man or anything, but the more I see of Johnny K, the more surprised I am at how little game time he got prior to Wimmer arriving. There could be many reasons for that, I suppose, and I doubt we'll ever know for sure.

Aye think that's it cant see us being anywhere near the play offs decent performance the guys did put in a shift but for we really need to push up the pitch much quicker we are inviting trouble time and time again.

Koutroumbis I am really warming to him he has never giving up and has came into the team not really done much wrong hope he just keeps it up gets his chance.

Tell you one thing I would do is get right on the blower when St J go down and find out about Mackenzie Kirk a very good player in the making pretty impressed by him.

Pretty sure he was injured for part of the season

Agree @mio it's looking promising for us. 

As poor as we are there's 5 other clubs who are equally poor or worse.   It's conceivable that we'll all pick up points against each other. 

Very glad not to be dragged into the mire.

Football is incredible. We are down 1-0 and Dundee and Killie score simultaneously. My 'we are safe' chat looks in real jeopardy and suddenly we score two goals within a few minutes.

I think it is now safe to say....

We are safe!!!

Was never in doubt ( takes a massive sigh of relief). 

Wimmer can start planning for next season. Hopefully he had a cohesive plan because we do not seem to have had one of those for years.

I'll be honest, I am normally quite an optimist, but when I saw the team today, could not see us winning at all.   Well what do I know, shows why I am not the manager and Wimmer is!

I was wrong about that, I accept that.
 

Obviously I didn’t have a crystal ball when I made that statement, I based it on our form and results this season. One win since the beginning of March and more or less zero shots on target in the last three games.

Once we retreated into our shells in the second half and conceded to bring it to 3-2 with over 20 minutes to go then was it really unreasonable or unrealistic to think we’d throw the win away? 
 

Finally….my ‘negative schitck’ being ‘my thing’….I’m saying nothing.

 

But I’m still waiting on your evidence of Hearts fans posting stuff to the effect of “don’t worry Rangers, we’ve got your back tomorrow” that you claimed that you’d seen on Twitter/X in March 2024.

Any luck with that or shall we just file it under 100 odd things that never happened?
