joewarkfanclub
Slim pickings this season. No one has really been a stand out. You could make a case for Halliday given he has been an ever present, had a few good games and has generally been better than anticipated, but thats a pretty low bar. I went for Slattery purely because the level he has got back to after such a serious injury has been impressive. That and he has scored some important goals that will probably keep us up. Young Player of the Year can only be Lennon. He has been a good bit short of his level from last year, but he has had a lot to contend with being in a porr team with no recognisable striker to hit with his passes and being played out of position quite a lot. Goal of the Year - went for Maswanhise v Rangers. Great take down, turn and finish. Felt like an important goal at the time. Surprised Stama's against Rangers wasnt included. One of the few cross ball/header combinations we actually executed this season. No clue who to vote for Womens POTY as havent seen them play..... wellgirl
Slattery for POTY. Miller for young player and goal of the season Slattery v Hibs.
weeyin
As big a fan of Slattery as I am, I don't think he has enough games under his belt for POTY. My vote is for Tawanda Maswanhise. His form was a little up and down, but he added a much needed bit of spark and flair at various times during the season. I'm also voting for his goal against Dundee Utd, partly for his celebration when he jumped over the player that he just sat down before he scored. EDIT: that's what I get for not looking at the site before I posted here. I foolishly thought I'd be allowed to vote for my POTY.
Spit_It_Out
This is toughy!Between Sparrow and Slattery for me Sparrow at least showed tons of effort and chipped with a few goals,Slattery coming back from injury and scored some important goals aswell but i shall go for Sparrow for his efforts never gives up from first minute to the last. Goal Slattery vs Hibs

mio
I can’t see anyone else other than Miller. He’s been a bit hot and cold all season but he’s still been our standout player and going to leave us for circa £4m. No other player is wanted by anyone. big Oxborough did quite well until his injury but if anyone else gets it that’d be a crime. It’s been an appalling season filled by dreadful individual performances.

joewarkfanclub
Aye. Feels like Slattery has played more games than 10 given he scored that freekick against Hibs away. Not sure I agree with Miller as POTY though. Its been pretty tough for the boy playing out of position in a disjointed struggling team. He had the injury as well, so despite there being flashes of his quality, I dont feel we have seen anywhere near what he is capable of this season. Alternatives are thin on the ground though.....
wellsince75
My initial thought was Halliday - he's been the most consistent but honestly if that's an accurate assessment it's a very poor reflection on our season. Miller is the more obvious choice, anything good that has come from the team he's been at the heart of it.
mio
I just don’t understand the Halliday love? Each to their own and all that but I think in general apart from maybe a couple of games he’s been poor. his first thought when he gets a ball is to win a foul, he spends 60mins of each game on his ar5e. He rarely creates anything, rarely pushes forward and struggles to track back. as mentioned each to their own but he’s not for me and I’d be letting him go. 1

Im not Hallidays greatest fan either, more a sign of how poor the season has been that I think he' up there as one of the most consistent performers. He's also getting on in years and not someone likely to hold a first team pick next year.
wellfan
I’m not Halliday’s biggest fan but I can understand his name being mentioned for POTY, particularly as the pickings are slim and he has been ever-present this season.
weeyin
Given Wimmer's preference for players to be comfortable in possession, Halliday is one of about 3 or 4 players we have that are capable of that. In the grand scheme of things, I thought he was one of our better players this season. It's Casey I wouldn't have on that list because, as I have mentioned elsewhere, I don't think the unquestionable energy he brings to the team makes up for the fact he is poor at defending (which is his main role). No obvious standouts, though.
ropy
I went for Sparrow, not because I think he is the best player but he has exceeded my expectations. No one else has.
