I have no idea how we managed to drop two points in this game, slaughtered them for 90mins give or take the 10minute period when they scored. Need a cutting edge, a striker that will just bang a shot at goal, someone a wee bit greedy. How often did we have the ball on the edge of the box screaming for someone to strike it and we over-elaborated and lost the chance. Sutton or Sheridan aren't the answer and the midfield two of Hughes and Lasley had cracking games apart from shiting it as soon as they got to within 20yards of the goals. O'Brien and Clarkson were excellent and the referee at times had problems protecting them from the mongo-like Aberdeen defenders who booted everything that moved. McLean was outstanding in the centre of defence as well.

Two points dropped as far as Im concerned as Aberdeen are no great shakes and were there for the taking, especially with the amount of posession that we had. With Hivs and Dundee Hivs drawing we could have had the upperhand in the top6/euro race. Can't see us taking anything at Ibrox next week regardless of the situation there so we have to hope that we thump St Mirren or other results go our way.

That's now only one defeat in thirteen games, which on the face of it is superb, but if we don't make the top six it'll be the draws that cost us.

Today we were dominant for most of the game against a frankly pish Aberdeen side. They were happy to put the boot in and for the most part the ref was fairly lenient, with Severin the biggest beneficiary.

From our point of view we played well but missed too many chances, and we really need to practice our long range shooting!

Ibrox next week becomes a game we need to take something from.

I suppose if we don't make the top six there will be a number of games that you'll look back on and think if only. The two Aberdeen games are right up there. That's four points they've stolen from Fir Park this season now.

I thought it was a really good first half. We played some really good stuff, scored a lovely goal and generally looked as comfortable as you could really hope for in a game of that importance. They were taking turns at booting us up and down the park to try to stop us.

Second half, whether they got a boot in the arse or we were slow to pick up the pace, they came at us for the opening 5 or 10 minutes but I thought we'd weathered the storm. Their goal came right out of nowhere, brilliantly put away though it was.

We had a fair bit of pressure and had a couple of chances but it wasn't to be and for the second time this season, we've not got what we've deserved against Aberdeen.

A bit like Kilmarnock you are left thinking its a missed opportunity.

Its interesting that Hibs and ourselves both have St Mirren and Rangers to play in the last two games before the split. The pressure it could put on Hibs if we could even sneak a point at Ibrox next week.....
