postiejim
A man meeting Kunyake's description was seen outside FP today at lunchtime, talking to Porteous and G.Young. Could he be the wildcard signing or will a new keeper beat him to it? Apparently 'Kunyake' was sporting a rotter of a jumper and dicking about with his phone for much of the time, maybe killing time til the gaffer returned back from training.   sound like a copper mate
Maxi
In regards to our transfer budget. Â Was McCormack move to Cardiff settled between the 2 clubs or via a tribunal?
brazilmfc
John Ruddy sounds like a winner to me !!!! Â NO CHANCE for Richard Eckersley IMO. Â Â I don't mind a few youngster's getting a chance, as most people on this forum would agree we cannot afford experienced players with good experience from any top teams. Â Beside's, it's more exciting this way !!!!
Big Stall
The question is, are Flamaturi better than Llanelli? I would say they are. It will be a really tricky tie out there. Will be roasting, a hostile crowd and a lot of inexperienced players. We will probably get beaten.  At Aidrie it will be a different matter.  Aye, it wont be roasting! alanbmfc
In regards to our transfer budget. Was McCormack move to Cardiff settled between the 2 clubs or via a tribunal?  ...tribunal, so no sell on included. Was good to see him at the Llanelli match. Harshly treated towards the end of his time with us but still taking an interest in the team. Best player, ability wise we've had since Faddy. In fact those two with Coop would work a treat in the current formation, just behind the lone striker, that would be dynamite.
Welldaft Mk1
Skysports.com understands Shrewsbury Town winger Chris Humphrey is poised to sign for Motherwell. Â Humphrey is out of contract at Shrewsbury and has rejected the offer of a new two-year deal with the League Two club. Â He was recently the subject of an offer from Blackpool and has previously been linked with a move to Aston Villa. Â However, the 21-year-old has opted for a transfer to the SPL, with a three-year contract at Jim Gannon's Motherwell side set to be sealed in the next 24 hours. Â The highly-rated winger made 88 appearances for the Shrews and played a prominent role in last season's ultimately unsuccessful push for promotion. Would certainly make sense, both black and he said he had a kind of Delomeaux look to him. He's had an exclusive and he didn't even know it! Richie
Aye, looks promising, especially as previously stated, Villa were in for him. Â From february: Aston Villa are chasing Shrewsbury winger Chris Humphrey, skysports.com understands. Â Humphrey has attracted the interest of a host of clubs following a number of eye-catching performances this season. Â Scouts have been flocking to the Prostar Stadium to cast an eye over the player, with Villa among the interested onlookers. Â Villa are now believed to be ready to follow up their interest with a firm move for the jet-heeled wide-man in order to steal a march on their rivals. Â Humphrey is out of contract in the summer and with Shrewsbury confirming they have shelved contract talks with all players, they could risk losing the former West Brom youngster for a small compensation fee at the end of the season
Bop
Yup, Humphrey is a 5'11 pacy winger with a good delivery. Really hoping this is true, he was attracting top half premiership clubs not too long ago.
Bop
And if the rules are the same as previously, we wont need to pay compo due to the cross border rule. I'm not too sure if that is still the case.

DC'd
No compo needed. Humphrey is out of contract at Shrewsbury and has rejected the offer of a new two-year deal with the League Two club.  Aye, but so was Roscoe and due to the Tribunal we received compensation as well.  We would have to pay some sort of nominal fee, if this does indeed transpire.. Richie
Could be a cracking signing financially as well if he turns it on here and gets a move.
Shaka
aye we will have to pay compo but dont think it would be too much, and if its a 3 year deal for a 21yo highly rated winger (rated one of the best prospects outside the premiership apparently) who has had scouts of both Everton + Aston Villa watching him the last few months, even £200k would see us treble or quadruple our money easily in a year or 2.  very promising and decent coup for us if signed + sealed

Optimus Prime
Hopefully our new signings will be a mixture of permanent deals and loans. JG has said that loan deals would allow him to assess the quality of up and coming youngtsers on our books. Can't argue with that. The problem is that many English league yougsters have never heard of Motherwell or even Scotland and so its not always easy to entice them north of Carlisle. Bop
We dont need to pay compo as far as my understanding of the rules go. Its to do with the wages we offer him also.
Shaka
aye but that was due to a now closed loophole as you get compo for u-24 players, but its u-23 for cross border deals. This is different as the player is only 21 so no matter what they get compo,
madwullie
Didn't pay much attention at the time, so it's all a bit hazy, but was the Porter loophole not closed after we took advantage of it?
