Reported in the Evening Times too. Not sure whether it's a realistic valuation or not as Cardiff obviously have a guy under contract that they don't want to let go.

As for transfer fees - we got Porter for nowt and sold him on at a tidy profit. So you win some, you lose some. Nobody was ever going to pay 5 million for McCormack when he played for us, even if he was still under contract.

The impression I got was Cardiff are in a bit of bother money wise and with their new ground opening next season they will have to move a few players on.

I'm not disagreeing with you, but it would be a strange move for a team in money worries to fork out a reported £500k for a new goalkeeper.

He's got one season wonder written all over him.

And we have a winner. Although I don't think he will totally fade from total performance he won't be raved about as much as he is now. And if he goes to the Premiership he'll sit on the bench for most of the season (unless he joins the Brum)

From what I've heard in a lot of the games he's got pens in he's been otherwise anonymous. Although I have to admit when he's good he's very good. I just hope Dave Jones keeps the boy away from the media cos he does himself no favours with his big time charlie attitude.
