fat_tony
It was in the Motherwell News email that gets sent out on Monday mornings. Good on Clarky for getting the armband, here's hoping he gets a goal or two and all our lads out in a decent performance.

Haggischomper
I see Graham Dorrans has been drafted in. Would he be worth a signing for us or is he well outwith our range?

Jay
I see Graham Dorrans has been drafted in. Would he be worth a signing for us or is he well outwith our range? Graham Dorrans pulled out of the squad, and there's absolutely no chance we'd get him. He's on the fringes of the first team at West Brom, and has impressed highly in the few appearances he's made. They also paid about £200,000 for him from Livi, there's no reason for them to let him go.
Haggischomper
Ah right - I thought he was still at Livi. Were we linked with him in the past?
Big Stall
It’s a good thing for DC well done, but lets be honest whats the point in it anyway?? Our A team is rank rotten, how bad is our B team going to be. And lets not forget that this is a significantly weakened B team as Burley hasn’t been allowed to pick players from the top 6 sides either. The point is that It gives players who are on the fringes of the national team or are making the transition from the Under 21's a chance to show the boss what they can do. Exactly. If just one player has a blinder and puts himself into contention for the game in Oslo, then it'll have been a success.

Come on man, with only a couple of exceptions, how many players in bottom 6 teams are on the fringes of the national team??
Big Stall
Exactly. If just one player has a blinder and puts himself into contention for the game in Oslo, then it'll have been a success. And if that was the reason then perhaps we should arrange B fixtures at a suitable time when all the relevant players who could concievably make a step up, are available to play. Im glad for Clarcky and all our players who have been called up, I just think the timeing and limitations on the squad shows Scottish football up for the farce it is. Additionally, its interesting that Burley won't be chosing anyone who's playing for the league or Europe at the weekend but is happy to take players who are in a real relegation battle. Cant say I'de be too happy if I was a Falkirk or ICT fan and one of their best players get cunted in a meaningless game.
Guest 'Flow
Second 'Well player in the last few years to captain the B squad after Kasier had the armband against Germany a couple of years ago! Well in Clarky 'Flow
Haggischomper
Did big McCart not captain them too in one game? And then promptly scored at both ends?

Bar Jack Ross I'd say all of them are within reach of playing with the full team. Probably a feww years for the Livi boy mind you.

Why Jack Ross is in the squad is beyond me, surely their's a better, younger right back to come in? Has Paul Quinn got an injury or something?
Motherwell Football Club
Yeah I think so. Most other teams just don't want to let there players go just now. I still think this is better than just having a get together of the main squad who, lets face it, the majority of whom probably wont make a major finals in their playing career. We have great young players in this country and games and occasions like this can only help improve and mature them into great players.
