Guest
I just want his departure confirmed so I can open a can in celebration. The only possible dampner is that he doesn't take Leitch with him. You really are an absolute banger.

Just want it confirmed sooner rather than later to get on with it. Let the players get to know the new manager, how he wants things done etc. Its only about 3 -4 weeks til we're playing proffesional football again. Need to get things sorted and in place. bigmcd
for some people on here mark mcghee could win 2 cups and take us into the latter stages of europe and they still wouldnt be happy. As its been said every player or manager wants to better themselves, and if they are at the well and being linked with bigger clubs then it means they are doing well and getting noticed.I hope he doesnt go but will understand if he does and will wish him all the best as getting well into europe 2 years in a row isnt easy. And if a new manager comes in then i will give him and im sure the majority of fans will giv him there backing. But as they say u cant please everyone all the time
MJC_MKI
I don't think anyone is questioning McGhee's ability as a manager, they just want this situation sorted out for the good of the club. Let's face it, he's more than likely going this time, I know that seemed the case last year, but even more so now, and the longer this drags on could be damaging for our preperations for next season. I have total respect for McGhee as a manager and think he has done a tremendous job in his two years here. Anyone who can transform a squad of players who had to have their arses saved by another team to prevent relegation at the end of one season to finishing third and qualifying for Europe the next, and in the face of the most difficult, trying and tragic of circumstances imaginable cannot have their abilities as a manager called into question. I'm not so keen on his attitude towards the club and the fans from time to time and I think others are the same, but that's taking nothing away from the job he has done ON the park for us. I just want this situation sorted out asap as I am worried about next season given the size of our current squad which is in desperate need of strengthening, but as has already been said, that can't and won't happen until we have a new manager in place so the sooner McGhee goes, the better. Wellfan1984
He done fantastic in his first season and done a solid job last season but it is our interests for him to move on. And to get someone in who'll do shit and have no one else interested in them? Saying that if he is moving on then better sooner rather than later. Although who ever replaces him I hope we have the worry of losing them during the season, next summer and then the season after that as it means they're doing their job well. east stand loyal
Looks like thats settled then. Hope Leitch doesnt go although I don't want to seem him stepping up to the plate just yet, appears to be a good assistant, certainly "Motherwell minded" anyway
Wellfan1984
I'll be interested to see where McGhee hasn't kept his eye on the job or gone about his business in a dignified manner? I have seen no reports where he has come and said "Come and get me Celtic, Hearts, Hibs, Aberdeen, Nottingham Forest, Swansea any other club that have looked for a manager in the last two seasons" etc. In fact the fans have said more and linked him more to other clubs than McGhee himself has. If you want to see a Manager who is a whore and going about it in a undignified manner go take a look at Hughes of Falkirk and his attempts at Blackpool and now Swansea. So his eye was on the ball last season when he was set to get on a plane to meet Romanov? Don't thinkso. Agree to disagree on this one. siebsbarmyarmy
If McGhee goes to Celtic I would say... yeah fair enough he is going to a bigger and better club. He'll have money to spend, he'll have good wages to pay..... he'd be back on the dole in 18months time. But I wouldnt have any hard feelings towards him. If he goes to aberdeen then I'll be disappointed and I would be angry. They pay more wages yes.... do they have a better youth system no I wouldnt say so... do they have a better team... no. Fair enough they are in the Europa league but without significant investment they would do the same as us and bomb out. Aberdeen are a bigger club than us, thats not in question, bigger turnover, more fans, bigger stadium, bigger potential(ish). But they are £6m in debt, pay crazy wages to shit players, dont have any money to spend, have a shit team, have fans who moan more than us, yes thats possible. He is also in a position that if he fails his stock will drop considerably because of all the factors I have mentioned. If he goes then this will annoy me and I would have angry feelings towards him. His stock will rise further if he stays at Motherwell and takes them to top 6 again next year and qualifies for the Europa league. 3 years and 3 European qualifications, good football on a smaller budget with a smaller club. Would be a smarter career move if you ask me.
du_du_dubordeaux
mark mcghee is the new hearts manager mind. also tommy coakley is our owner after buying the club for 10m, whilst kris boyd is currently playing for lazio after leaving the ibrox casino complex which has just been built by david murray as he flies ronaldo over to scotland on his private jet. Steven fletcher is also signing for real madrid the red tops dont half talk the power of pish and radio stations such as real and clyde are just as bad especially now that we have 2 of the worst ever football phone ins on the planet. Rumours spread faster than they ever did in the past. its definately not worth listening to anything the media say until official statements have been made we've all seen the U turns players/managers have made in the past and its amazing what can happen in a couple of minutes. I'll wait for the official "breaking news" banner on SSN to appear and a picture of MMG holding up an aberdeen strip before I believe anything.
