Why would anyone want Butcher? He's failed at every club he's been at with the exception of us. The only reason he was half decent with us was because of the situation, he was able to scare/ motivate our young boys. When the finances got better and he bought older guys we were pish!

Think he ended up at Dinamo Bucharest, before quitting. Not sure of his record though.

Sorry, don't agree with that. Nearly all Butchers signings were decent. McDonald, Foran, Partridge, Paterson, Craigan, McLean, Buzz, O'Donnell, Alan McCormack etc for gawds sake! Maybe Burns, Sengewald, and "the flask" didn't do much I'll give you.

 

All the seasons under Butcher were decent too. Even the year we finished bottom won't go down as the worst Motherwell team any of us have seen.

 

I don't think Butcher would come back to Motherwell anyway.

i would go for jimmy calderwood or john hughes and possibly bring in tommy coyne somewhere in the coaching staff there will be managers interested as we r a good club with ambitions this is all rumours as we dont even know if mmg will go deep down i think he will but i hope he stays for 1 more season
