Rammer
Yeah Rammer, the reason is that SKY want extra cash for it. Virgin will be paying sky for the rights to broadcast it, but are not passing those costs on to their customers. bottom line is that Virgin seem to be offering their customers extra value and SKY are screwing their customers for as much as possible. How much more do the fekkers want? TV, broadband, phone, ESPN, multiroom, HD, cooncil tax, mortgage......

Hi would highly doubt that Virgin gives you something FREE! Think you can argue here: the Xl package is 21.50 + 11 quid line rental if you pay DD and no paper bill. 32.50 in total. Get Sky Sports Mix + ESPN is £44 the lowest. Its more expensive sure, but You get all Sky Sports channels, which are easily worth another 13 quid imho. Rickoza
DFL has sold the right to broadcast Bundesliga in the UK and Ireland to ESPN. They can show up to five matches per weekend and a summary of the whole weekend. The deal will last three years (until 2011/12).

fatcalf
Fuckin' ESPN won't be on much with those fixtures. At least the foreign highlights packages should make it worthwhile.

Steve Diggle
I'm glad it looks pish. The sooner we get back to punters through the gate funding the game the better. Football packages, if we really cant stop whoring the game on behalf of the arm chair supporter brigade, should be limited the best one or two games on each particular card that weekend and not a service for OF and EPL glory hunters having their away games covered. And if a team plays defensive guff - I'm thinking Kilmarnock and St Mirren here - they should give a portion of their TV money back.
