MelvinBragg
I know I'm starting a new thread about this but I couldn't find mention of it anywhere and it angered me enough to start a new topic. I heard a rumour today that Mark McGhee has offered to help John Boyle find his successor. I don't know whether to believe this or not, as this source has been pretty good before, but this seems pretty outrageous. The thought of someone who'll be our competition next year helping us pick our manager kind of sticks in the throat a bit. Anyone heard anything about this...? Wellfan1984
To be fair to Boyle and McGhee I expected it as it is often a done thing when Manager and Club part ways the way McGhee and Boyle probably will. Granted the last time Boyle did that we got Malpish
Finlay
Not surprised. Didn't Strachan try that with Celtic?
MelvinBragg
Not surprised. Didn't Strachan try that with Celtic? Aye, as did Martin O'Neill. Difference is neither of those guys was leaving to join a club in the same division. Conflict of interests...?
mon_da_well
Conflict of interests...? If he suggests Ian McCall then aye!
Malky79
Aye, as did Martin O'Neill. Difference is neither of those guys was leaving to join a club in the same division. Conflict of interests...? Given it Aberdeen he likely going to, I'd be a bit wary I suppose but I wouldn't get to hot under the collar unless Boyle comes out and says there an interview panel and it made up of Mark McGhee, Maurice Malpas and Pat Nevin. star sail
Don't know why I think this, but I think that sounds like a genuine offer. For all I don't like the way McGhee deals with things in the Press, I hope that he leaves Motherwell on good terms and with some kind of lasting affinity with the club. Lets see if he can tap into those European contacts now!
Lobey_Dosser
Two years down the line and he'll still not have came up with an adequate replacement.

alanr
John Hughes at it now as well. He can clearly see Hibs struggling, so is trying to get Falkirk relegated
Al B
Two years down the line and he'll still not have came up with an adequate replacement. To be fair though, if he's only gonna bring in better than what we've got, we could be onto a winner!
