Juan Kerse
Good work, love seeing FP before my time (all seasted only I'm afraid) Some of those terracings are superb - some huge ones, the Hampden terrace is something else, as is the Hibs terrace - looks massive!! trafficlight
That's quality, a fantastic post. I love nostalgia
Jonesy
I remember always being highly confused as to why the sign above the old turnstiles into the terrace behind the goal said Motherwell Football & Athletic Club rather than just Motherwell Football Club. Can remember they wee concrete dug-out with Tommy always sitting on the front of it on his shawl.

I have been at every ground on this list and it has been wonderful to have a nostalgic look at these memories.Hampden was wonderful in those days as was Fir Park although the pish down the leg from some drunk behind you is a memory that I have tried hard to supress. Easter Road does indeed look huge. What was its capacity back then, anyone ?

numpty
Bizarrely enough, it was probably the video of Kilbowie that brought back some of the strongest memories for me... no idea why, just remember the place really clearly!

Haggischomper
We had to get rid of that bit when we signed Bob Malcolm.
weeyin
Brockville, Starks Park, Shawfield and Muirton were my favourites for some reason, closely followed by Firs Park and Annfield. Starks Park in particular I remember for parking down at the water and walking up the hill, the train running past every few minutes and the concession stand being the guy in a van that parked at the back of the terracing. Mad Mac
Easter Road does indeed look huge. What was its capacity back then, anyone ? It was about 49,000 before the seats went in at one end, so about 47,000 at a guess.
that hat
Brockville, Starks Park, Shawfield and Muirton were my favourites for some reason, closely followed by Firs Park and Annfield. A bit of a kiss of death! Try liking Ibrox and Celtic Park.
grumpy
Hampden Park full on an international night was fantastic in those days. If you needed a pee you had to use the jacket pocket of the guy in front of you.
Geedub
I always remembered the thing on top of the main stand at Hampden as looking like it was going to collapse? I suppose I must of been the very last generation to experience terracing at Fir Park and Hampden (Born 1985)
