EastStandWellFan
Now that Mutley is offski who do you think will be likely to follow him. Obviously you would think Graeme Smith and Stephen Hughes being out of contract will be high on his list but what about some of the rest of our team. A number of people I have spoken to have suggested David Clarkson. I would be devastated if Clarky followed McGhee to Aberdeen - of the rest of the squad I'm not overly concerned. Thoughts ? Stuart. well-army
I said to my Dad and uncle that Clarky will be his first signing. Hope i'm wrong though
Malky79
I reckon Hughes might end up there. I don't see Smith going that way. McLean a possibility, least as a squad player though don't see him being number one target. Don't see any of our under contract players heading north, between paying of Calderwood and poaching McGhee I reckon it'll be free transfers only for Aberdeen. Hope i'm wrong though I can see McGhee wanting him, but even if he only got a year on his contract we'd be mad accepting any less than £500k and I do not see Aberdeen having that kind of money to spend. I thought McLean had signed a new contract? I agree that Hughes will follow and I think Klimpl could go as well which would be hard to take. Agree that they can't afford anyone in contract but we need to wait and see what the new man thinks.

Not seen anything to suggest McLean got a new deal yet. I'd forgot about Klimpl, a definate possibility. If he wants him I reckon he'd go for the few quid more sheep can probably offer. That said Plymouth were linked, so I wouldn't think it set in stone. I not be to upset if we lose Klimpl, wasn't really expecting him to stay and not sure he worth pushing the boat out for though he did provide a bit of steel and dig in the middle of the park. nethertonwellfan
Klimpl was just a hatchett man!!!! They are ten a penny if thats what we want. He can go won't be too gutted. I have been resigned to losin Shug for some time. I can't see clarky goin but if he did then we should start preparing for 2010-2011 in the first division. Malky79
I hope you are correct - time for a freshen up Thing is if you want to freshen up you get rid of the deadwood like McGarry, not one of your most effective and important players from the previous two seasons. Lobey_Dosser
I imagine Hughes & Klimpl will definately be heading up there. And with Graema Smith, it depends how much he rates Langfield. This is what infuriates me though it would appear that no effort was made in keeping these boys at Fir Park as McGhee probably expected for a day like today to come to fruition. They have no chance of getting Clarky at present but that may change come January.
milo
He can take Hughes and Klimpl if he wants. Would be disapointed in Klimpl if he went, but these things happen. Hughes did nothing this season so hey ho if he goes. If McGhee wants Clarky, as I suspect he will, he better come back with excess of 750k. McGhee has constantly banged on about him being our top player, Scotland International, etc (which he is) so if he tries to get him on the cheap, as the c**t will, then it will stink to high heaven. I'm desperate to hear someone in the media/press ask him some really pressing questions!!!!
Tassinari
I would imagine we'll see Clarkson Quinn Hughes Reynolds Klimpl G Smith all out of the door, somewhere or other over the next few weeks. Maybe only Hughes going to sheepyville.

Maybe only Hughes going to sheepyville. When have we ever moved on six first team players in such short a time. Maybe under Kampman? Ones out of contract fair enough. The others will be going no where unless serious money is offered and if for example someone comes in for Reynolds then it makes Clarky or Quinn following less likely unless with Setanta going belly up we really are in dire straits. Malky79
Fair do's I was forgetting administration, but I was thinking run of the mill years. I already said that if other financial pressures squeeze tight then maybe. That might not be to unlikely if TV situation doesn't resolve itself favourably but I still reckon we won't see that much movement.
Joeboy
I can't see Reynolds going just anyway. I don't think he had a good enough season for anyone to be highly pursuing him. As for Quinn, he had a good season, but I can't see anyone jumping in for him, and McGhee will not be making money signings. I would be devastated if Clarky left but the rest I could come to terms with.
