Chris Larkin
Hello folk, I'm Chris;  Just popping by the say best of luck for next Season, myself and the rest of The Heaton Chapel Hatters (Stockport County Supporters Group) have decided in honour of Sir James Gannon of Stockport, becoming the new Motherwell boss, we will now also follow Motherwell as a second team and are hoping to get up to Scotland for a few games.  So here is me, Chris, the head of the HCH extending the Branch of Friendship to Motherwell  Best of luck! Rammer
If he's as good as all you County fans are telling us, we should win the fuckin' league this year! Â To be honest, he'll need a bit of time to get to grips with the pace in the game up here but hopefully he can get a few decent signings in and play some good football on our lovely, brand new pitch. Infamous Wee Grafter
Welcome abroad - don't think i've ever seen a manager, so supported by the fans, as Gannon & Stockport. Â Even McGhee had his haters, even though we finished 3rd in season 1 and a reasonable 7th in season 2(ok for Motherwell FC). Â I've supported Motherwell for 20 years and don't recall any new manager making me as excited about a new season as Jim Gannon's appointment....a guy i knew hee-haw about only 6/7 days ago. Chris Larkin
The guy is a legend in Stockport, in 1989 he signed for us as a player and was with us as a player four times at Wembley, and saw us rise from the foot of Division 4 to the brink of the Division 2 play-offs and was part of our amazing league cup campaign to the Semi-Finals knocking out 4 Premiership teams on the way.  Then in December 2005 he came back as a manager and saved us from being 7 points adrift at the foot of League 2, the following season he took us from relegation fodder to promotion contender breaking a British record of 9 wins and 9 clean sheets in a row, then the following season he took us up at Wembley  So you have a fantastic manager on your books and that is why we all love him at Edgeley Park, and we're hoping to get up to Motherwell in October sometime, any tasty fixtures around then?  Thanks for all the welcoming messages
Robyn
Tasty fixtures?  Falkirk - Home Celtic - Away St Mirren - Away Hearts - Home  Obviously Celtic being the bigger match of them all - shame thats not at home. But decent set of fixtures to pick from.
Bop
Out of them i'd pick either one of the home games out as decent ties.

gav212
Aye id say come up for Hearts at home. Or if you can stretch to November we have Aberdeen at home which should be a good game because our wank of an ex manager went to them and left us in a state, hopefully Jimbo can send him up the road with his face tripping him. herbie
Distant memory fortunately, as is the joker who came up with it. Another County fan here, gutted Jimbo has gone but wishing him and Motherwell all the best for the forcoming season. You have a top fellow, just give him time to sort the team/tactics out to his liking and you will an entertaining and exciting team to follow. Am coming up to your game on the 22nd August ( we are away at Brighton, even further than Motherwell) so hopefully may catch up with a few of you.
