airfinz
Not seen anything on Slane's injury yet. Does anyone know what happened and how long he is likely to be out?

gullane
From the club website - The Steelmen didn’t have the best preparation when Paul Slane limped off just minutes before kick-off. The young winger had been struggling with a minor calf problem and despite the best efforts of the medical team, just wasn’t able to start the game. “He’s been feeling a tight calf all week but he was wanted to play, in fact, he was desperate to play but as a precaution we felt it best to take him out to ensure he doesn’t do any more damage,” said Gannon. “We made the decision to change it about five or six minutes before the kick-off. He came in complaining about the calf. He got a rub and a bit of treatment and he was keen to play but I could see from his body language that he wasn’t totally happy.
