that hat
I blame the 'Well's underhand tactics... Using the glare from the bright pink goallies kit to dazzle the poor wee Rangers lambs.
wee g
Excellent score! Where did you get those results Rickoza? Try here http://www.scotprem.com/content/default.asp Finlay.
wellmanandy
Great result for the under-19s this afternoon. Good to see my work mate's son, Ryan Martin, on the scoresheet too

Rickoza
17 goals in just four games, only four in reply (one of them an oggy). That's absoultely fantastic. Was talking to a couple of the team recently, they are well up for this and want silverware. Go for it guys!!!!

wee g
2 or 3 of them knocking on the 1st team door now. Meechan,Lawless & Pollock are close to it. Great start to the season for the boys, hope they keep it going.
nethertonwellfan
I know it's early days but see if we have a chance of clinching the league do you think they will play the game at Fir Park? Also what sort of crowd do you think we would get? I would live to go and see the boys clinching the league.
mcguru
Got over yesterday to see the game, took ma mate who is a Rangers man and he was shocked how poor Rangers were made to look. The young lads' football, ie good short passes and making space was too much for the Rangers boys. Could so easily have been 6 or more with 1 stonewall penalty turned down. Shows you when it really is a level playing field with no imported big money journeymen brought in by the old firm teams like Motherwell have nothing to fear. Long may the passing game continue!! Orinoco
very good team performance, with Pollock and Lawless the standouts. The mighty gers aint so mighty it seems and infact looked a very poor disorganised collection of players. 'That Hat' checked the Rangers website to see who the wee hitler on the touchline was, and it turns out he's the guru (director) of the youth academy Jim Sinclair. Explains alot, who would want to play football for that loud mouth fool.
du_du_dubordeaux
when you compare the amount of players kilmarnock, motherwell, accies, hibs etc have brought through over the years, with that of the old firm, it shows just how little they give back to the game in this country. Surely our two biggest clubs should set the standard and have the "ajax set up" on the go churning out youngsters year by year. They are a fuckin joke. Aw that money and fancy facilities as well. daver
To be honest Celtic and Rangers have produced quite a few players that have gone on to make a living in football, just not that many have progressed to their own first teams. Admittedly it is harder to break in to Rangers or Celtic's first team than it is to one of the other teams'. We just have to look at McLean, Hughes, O'Brien, McBride and Smith in our own team over the last few years. It is great to see our youth development looks as though it is continuing to produce players but it is a pity we don't get to see any coverage. Before the demise of Setanta we were able to see thier games against the Old Firm on Rangers or Celtic TV and before Flow's 'transfer' to the club he occasionally posted highlights on here. I thought he hoped to continue to do this, albeit in a more official capacity, but it wouldn't surprise me if there's a copyright issue even for under 19s. foghorn
Many good things happening around the club at youth level just now with a lot of common sense being spoken and portrayed by our coaches at this level. Good to see many of the guys who watch the 'Well regularly picking up on this at youth games - the future is in good hands.
Kmcalpin
Can only echo what Foghorn has said - what an excellent crop of youngsters we have coming through both in quantity anmd quality. It can't all be down to John Park!
wee g
Dundee Utd v Well 19`s. Sat 12 o`clock kick off @ St Andrews Uni. The next 3 games(Utd, Hibs & Celtic) should give the lads a great chance to prove, that they can win the league this year. Good Luck to the boys. Mon The Well!!! Rickoza
Perhaps the best squad we've ever had at this level? And there's more cmoing through. Good luck guys.
wee g
And with McHugh, Saunders & Slane all still eligible for the 19`s this year, they could be even better.
delboy
still not made it to a game this year, but the signs are looking good, all the best for Saturday
Wellfan1984
Are most of our games going to be a Saturday this year? Was hoping to get to a fair few but travelling to the away games seem to be out - although Bathgate is easier enough if I can't make the First Team games. It's seems the fishel site doesn't mention it when we get beat in U19 games, only tells us how great they were when we win.

Is that not just down to when and where they've been played at times? With the best will in the world the club's media relations guy isn't going to be watching the U19's in a half-twelve kick off on the same day the first team are playing at 3pm.
