Just a wee note to anyone planning to travel to Bathgate for the U19's game vs Hearts this morning... Game off - warthogs on the pitch! © Soccer AM

Slane was playing at Lennoxtown yesterday. Quite surprised to see Sloan and McKinnon featuring in that game as well. What position does Erwin play. Not too good on the Unders names but was quite impressed by numbers 6 (played like it meant the world), 10, and 11. In saying that there was a lot of positives in that team.

Lee Erwin is a centre forward, he's just signed a 3 year contract and has only just turned 16 years old. I've watched him a lot when he played for the under 15's & 17's, he's a great player and definately has a bright future. There quite a few 15/16 year olds who currently play with the under 17's that look as though could do a turn for us in the future. B-)

After today's games, Celtic lead on 38 from18. Rangers 2nd with 32 from 17, with Dundee United and Saint Mirren also level on 32 and just a point behind are Motherwell on 31 from 18, a game less than both teams immediately above though one more than Rangers.

2 each now :P

That's how it finished, probably the fairest result. Dario Quinn forced off with one of the best goal line clearances I've probably seen, be surprised if the post hasn't stop shaking or is damaged as he clattered that on the way down. Hearts took advantage of the enforced substitution as the Motherwell team lost a little shape, two quick fire replies and crashing a header of the bar too. Motherwell played themselves back in and could have sneaked a winner late on from Smith.

As others will have seen, a plentiful supply chain. Dario Quinn, Jamie Pollock, Gary Smith and the terrier like midfielder Innes the pick today.

Back up to second. If Rangers fail to win at least one of their last two games (both away, to Falkirk and Saint Mirren) and Motherwell win their last game (this Friday, at Creamery Park v Saint Johnstone) then we'll finish second (Dundee United and Saint Mirren would need a massive turnaround in goals to overtake Motherwell), a superb achievement.
