Rickoza
Stats today showed we had the ONLY shot on target the entire game!!!! They had 3 off, we had an amazing 8. You might have 99% possession or whatever, but those stats are the ones I'm most interested and they suggest we were the better team. nethertonwellfan
Won all our home games and drawn our away games. That's not a bad start for a new manager and a team with so many changes. If you want to see the worst that can happen when you bring in so many new faces, just look at Accies. If that trend continues we will finish with 76 points . Enough for at least 3rd surely
milo
Great point. And here we were thinking we'd go the whole season without a 0-0 draw. Will wait on the fans who were at the game's reports to see how it all went and how we played.

Yes, I always say it's difficult to know for sure via radio because you're dependent upon somebody else's view of the game. Be interesting to read the views of those at Pittordrie, particularly regarding the three great chances radio spoke of.
Gamst
would have loved to beat mcghee but i'm happy with a point. undefeated to the international break sounds good to me
Bop
Is the Rangers game next weekend? I thought we had a weeks break but the radio mentioned 4 or 5 times that we have rangers at home next saturday?

Stu
Right, first of all, I'm just back from the game and was listening to the radio while there. I had to pull my earphones out just before half time because I was watching a completely different game from them. The Sutton header that the radio claimed was a sitter was nothing of the kind IMO. The crossed ball was behind him and I thought he did well just to get a head on it. The fan being tended to in the stands was actually an Aberdeen fan in the Main Stand. He got wheeled out on a stretcher at half-time. The near-side linesman had an absolute shocker, giving us absolutely nothing - including what looked like a stonewall penalty for us early on in the first half. Hammell definitely didn't deserve to be hooked. Craigan and Coke stood out for me. Craigan won everything and Coke never gave the ball away once. Miller's dive was worse than Eduardos. Wonder what the SFA will say? Anything else?
Rickoza
That to me sounds a lot more like the way Preston described teh game whenever they went to him rather than the biased nonsense Davie was comiing out with. Edit - McGhee moaning that the 'Well fans were abusing him today. Fecking grow up ya arse, you would never have got that had you not whored yourself the last year and a bit of your time at Fir Park. GraniteCityMFC
Stats today showed we had the ONLY shot on target the entire game!!!! They had 3 off, we had an amazing 8. You might have 99% possession or whatever, but those stats are the ones I'm most interested and they suggest we were the better team. Just in. Happy with the point and maintaining the unbeaten run, long may it continue. Was hoping to see some slick passing football but there's always next time. It was a pretty poor game and I don't remember our shot on target. Said to my son with 10 mins to go that there hadn't been a shot on goal and neither keeper had a hardly made a save and then Ruddy had to tip one over. Maybe whoever was keeping the stats missed it. Rickoza
Was it not a sliced header or something from one of our defenders? If so, that'd be our shot on target....pity it was at our own keeper!!
Stu
Ruddy had to tip one over. Maybe whoever was keeping the stats missed it. Was that not from Hateley trying to clear? Does that count as a shot on target?
GraniteCityMFC
Was that not from Hateley trying to clear? Does that count as a shot on target? Couldn't tell I was up the other end in Merkland stand with the kids. Been up here too long, all their friends are dons fans and they wanted to sit with them, so I had to sit on my hands. Just glad there wasn't a goal
SuperSteelman
5 points from a possible 9 is a great start to the league considering two of the games have been away from home. A draw was a good result today.
FJ-94
the pole got our SOT according 2 bbc but they also said hammy and someone else played for the sheep
another number
Quite happy with the result today. A week ago I'd have been very happy with a draw but with all that's been said by McGhee this week by this morning I was giving it some Kevin Keegan "I'd love it if we beat them" chat. Can't be sniffing at 5 points after 3, two games being away. Anyone who was at the game (when you all get home) have any thoughts on the Hammell substitution? Claretwelly
First time I can say Gannon was wrong. Reynolds can't play that role in midfield, it was tried against St Johnstone, therefore it was a waste of a sub so early in the game, and the players have to reshuffle. Still happy with result away though. Bring on the blue half of the Glasgow scum.
Stu
Anyone who was at the game (when you all get home) have any thoughts on the Hammell substitution? Seemed purely tactical. Gannon wanted two up front, so hooked Hammell and brought Reynolds back to left-back. I thought Hammell had a good start...

I thought Hammell had a good start... I thought the same. Hammell had started well but Gannon obviously thought we didn't need Reynolds as a holding midfielder and wanted someone else up front. He then had to choose between Hammell or Reynolds as to who should come off. I thought he chose Hammell because Reynolds is that bit taller. MFCGMFC
where i was sitting the folk round about me thought hammell got subbed cause he kept giving the ball away God only knows how they can say that sutton missed a sitter! dennyc
Just back from Aberdeen. Proud of the team who all fought hard and dominated for long spells. Midfield in particular tired towards the end but maybe that was to be expected after the effort put in during the first half. Great to see Craigen leading by example when it got tough. Well done Craggs. DISGUSTED with a fairly sizeable section of so called 'Well fans. Have a go at McGhee by all means but that was out of order and sickening. Do us all a favour and just stay away. Go to see the Old Firm where maybe your vile performance would be appreciated. Hopefully some of you were arrested and your names can be passed to Motherwell so you can be banned from Fir Park for life. Pity the local police did not take stronger action. So much for fair play awards. Appologies to all at Aberdeen......even Mr McGhee
mwellhighland
For those that were there, how many fans we have up? More than usual for Aberdeen?
Stuarty
Just sitting down to catch up after being up in Aberdeen. Enjoyed my trip up to Aberdeen today been a few years since I was last there. I think we must have had in the region of 400-500 hundred today to be honest, certainly more than usual! As a whole the team did well enough and as already mentioned near the end the midfield was clearly very tired. Roll on our next match!
