Bill Bones
Good boost for the old confidence ahead of the Buns game. Any injuries to report?
Rammer
How did the new right back look?
Iain7_mfc
Just back from the game. Good workout for the team with Lasley, McGarry and Fitzy making an appearance in the 2nd. Coke's goal was well worked with a good finish on the end of it too. Yassin was good, needs to work on his crossing ability and was playing as a third striker for some parts of the game. Looks as if he'll be a good addition. Nothing negative to really come out of the game.
dazamfc
Just in from the game. The new right back looks great except from his crosses.Jim O'Brien was brilliant today and the the whole teams performance was great. Well Done Boys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
nethertonwellfan
Giles Coke took a bit of a knock before he went off. I hope he is ok.

garymurdoch
The right back is more like a right winger, got really far forward.

MJC_MKI
I know it means nothing, but there's something about that scoreline - Motherwell 1-0 Man Utd - that just sounds so good. Was Sir Alex there?
Rammer
What were Man U like? Any decent prospects we could get on loan? How did Jutkiewitz (sp) play?
nethertonwellfan
How did Jutkiewitz (sp) play? He was quite poor to be honest. He will need to up his game if he is going to make an impact. The partnership of Reynolds and Hutchison at the back was really good.

Bill Bones
The match report on the official site suggests we created a lot of chances. Coke's goal sounds like it would be worth seeing.
Dee
As someone said there was no real negatives to take from the game today, decent run out and the team played really well. The new striker might need time to settle though. On a negative note though, I didnt expect Man Utd to bring many top players but at least one or two would have been good. Supposedly Ferguson was at the Scotland game yesterday so I dont see why he didnt make an appearance today!
Bop
Jamie Pollock - hes the next one off the conveyor belt of talent. I know he was only on for 10-15 minutes but it was obvious that hes got something about him.

Yir Elder
A win is a win, and even though it was the Man U reserves you could tell they were very technically gifted and well organised, so our 1-0 win does carry some merit. The pissing rain might have put a few people off, hence the crowd of just under 3500, but it was a worthwhile exercise for the lads. Bearing in mind we were without Craigan, Murphy, Humphrey, Saunders, Slane and McHugh its an even better result. Bring on the Gers on Saturday!! gullane
Fairly typical friendly - sterile in places. Points of interest - - Hately looks very comfortable in central midfield. - Moutaouakil shows promise. If he can cross the ball he will add a great attacking threat to the side. - Jutkiewicz looks decidedly average. Same size as Sutton but offers far less threat. McHugh has shown more so far. - Jamie Pollock came on for the last 15 minutes. He could be yet another young talent.
weeyin
Never mind who did or didn't play , the History Books wll show Motherwell 1 - Man. Utd. 0The history books will show Motherwell 1 - 0 Manchester Utd XI. Even most non-sports fans know what an "XI" represents. Glad we got a decent workout on an off-weekend though.
