SuperSteelman
It will also be good to see Moutaouakil and Jutkiewicz in action and hopefully a couple of Man Utd players that we recognize. Looking forward to it.

sinky
http://www.manutd.com/default.sps?pagegid=...;newsid=6639001 Ole relishes Fir Park challengeOle Gunnar Solskjaer is relishing the chance for his young Reserves to learn another valuable lesson in the Sir Matt Busby Shield The Reds travel to Fir Park to face Motherwell on Sunday, and Solskjaer is delighted to be part of the celebration, which marks 100 years since the legendary United manager's birth. "We're looking forward to it," Solskjaer told MUTV. "It's a completely different challenge. We’ll be the young, enthusiastic ones and Motherwell will be the experienced ones. "It's important for these lads to have those kind of games and play against men sometimes." Solskjaer was speaking after his side's 2-1 win over Wigan, a result which prolonged the Reds' 100 percent start to the season. The Norwegian still saw room for improvement however, after his side passed up a string of chances. "It was a good win," he said. "It felt like we should’ve been winning 4-1 or 5-1. Gary (Neville) came in at the end there and had to check if the result was 2-1! "When you’re so on top, if you don’t take your chances there’s always danger. They had a couple of decent chances in the second half so there was the lesson they’ve got to learn." Tickets for Sunday's match, priced £12 adults, £6 juveniles and £20 for families (1 adult and 2 children) can be purchased at www.visitlanarkshire.com/sirmattbusby. Has he done any research into the motherwell squad? i would think the average age of our team would be around the same as theirs.

Kim
I don't know if it has been mentioned but the Man Utd team are having a team meeting at the Westerwood hotel this morning and Ryan Giggs was staying there last night (I was at a wedding there) so hopefully he'll be playing. Yabba's Turd
A player that Motherwell gave a trial to before his Manchester UTD days. Apparently wasn't good enough ha! Was it not that his name appeared on a fax sent to McLeish of players available to him and he baulked at the likely wage demand?
GazzyB
I love it when this comes up, you hear so many stories, and we'll never know which one is the right one. The story I remember is that we had him on trial and Big Eck went to the board and said "this boy will cost us a million quid and will guarantee us the league" and they laughed him out the office. GazzyB
Definitely not a waste of time. None of the other SPL teams will have a game today, and if they do, it'll not be against one of the best U21 sides in Britain. Tops up our fitness ahead of a very difficult game next week! And it's a wee bit of revenue for the club.
rightdodgyman
Anyone know who's playing for man utd then? Apparently we're leading 1-0 with Coke scoring.
WellMartyn
For those who are interested we're winning 1-0 thanks to Giles Coke. Been a boring game and the only player for United with PL experience is Fabio!
dundeesteelman
It's a bloody friendly!!! What do you expect. I'd be happy if it was not 100 miles an hour and we get no injuries from it.
