GAZZAMFC68
Well done, motherwell fc u13 girls, they defeated Ross Vale 8-0 yesterday, at wishaw sport centre, and today at the new ravenscraig complex. They defeated Falkirk Futures 6-4 in a cracking match, that saw falkirk take a 2-0 lead, the 'well girls brought it back to 2-2, then falkirk go 4-2 up, but the well girls fought back to win 6-4, what a game Only 3 games to go to the end of the season, only two more wins to clinch the title. A win for the 13's would clinch the title for the third year in a row. Also good luck to the 15's who are playing Celtic in the semi finals of the scottish cup at Toryglen Super'well

steelman1991
Afraid it didn't quite come off for the U13s this morning. The youngsters cantered into a quick 2 goal lead by half-time. However after the break the display became edgy and the girls started to look nervous, perhaps not surprising given what was at stake, they surrendered the 2 goal lead, took the lead again, courtesy of the 'well no6's 50th goal of the campaign, but tired toward the end Falkirk scoring twice in quick succession to secure the win - Full-Time 3-4 in favour of the visitors. Disappointing for the girls as the race for the title is now out of their hands. They can still win but have to rely on other results going their way. Good luck girls and keep the heads up. A great result for the 15's in their Scottish Cup semi-final at Toryglen, beating Forfar 4-1. Mind and let us know when the Final is Angie. GAZZAMFC68
Well done to the under 15's on yesterdays result, will be cheering on the girls when the finals take place . not a good day for the 13's, 4-3 defeat at home to Falkirk Academy. The girls look very nervous from the start, missed some very good chances ,made some defensive mistakes, wasn't their day! League is now out of their own hands, away to Falkirk next week, only hope other results go their way. 'WELL DONE to Motherwell's no6 (A.A) who scored 2 goals yesterday to take her goal tally to 50. KEEP THE HEADS UP YOU NEVER KNOW. Super 'well
delboy
bad news Motherwell Ladies lost 2-1 against Paisley ladies this afternoon Paisley took their chances in the first half although (there was a suggestion of off side for the second) but Motherwell failed to find the net with a couple of good chances In the second half Motherwell push the home team and crated a number of chances but only converted one of them although they lost the game and their lead in the league they should hold there head high for push Paisley all the way
SteelmaninOZ
Good thread of the Motherwell LFC all teams. Pity the mind set of the club. Here in OZ they have a professonial Womens league and has live games every week on the TV. The womens play in their clubs stadiums not on some public park! Have seen some great games. The Matildas the womens Australian team have their games on TV even when the play abroad. You would think that the SFA and the clubs would be promoting the womens game. Womens football at all age leves are going gangbusters down here.

I'd love to see the ladies play at fir park, mind you with the issue with the pitch over that last few years I can understand why the club might not. Ladies football was once very big in the uk mind you that was in the 1920/30 hopefully people will wise up to just how good it is and the media will start taking an interest
andrew weston
I feel we at the Wishaw Press do give the Motherwell Ladies some good coverage but agree their is a lack of decent exposure. We put a lot of their stuff on the website in the Motherwell FC section. http://www.wishawpress.co.uk/wishaw-sport/

GAZZAMFC68
Today at Easter road, Hibs under 13 girls were paraded at halftime showing their supporters the league cup they had won. Motherwell fc should take note of such achievements, our girls have won two cups, think a phone call to fir park is due. How hard would it be to organize?
