Claretwelly
Wonder how Jim Leighton feels, considering last week they said they couldn't afford a Goalie Coach.
Wellfan1984
Tbf he said they couldn't afford a goalkeeper coach that was just a goalkeeper coach. Meldrum was registered as a player with Motherwell and most likely will be come January (don't think he can now) with Aberdeen.
Brazilian
Jim Leighton probably feels that he was correct in thinking that Mcghee is a mercenary bastard edit: he can only registr as a player if we sell him

Dee
Meldrum also does a lot of fitness and training for outfield players in which Leighton wouldnt have been able to do!
weeyin
Wonder if Leighton will end up at Fir Park. Would be happy to have him join the payroll.
Bop
Would be happy with that too. Seems to be highly respected.
sinky
I think we will see an english guy coming in.I dont think Gannon would know leighton very well as a coach.
madwullie
AFAIK Leighton was on silly money at Aberdeen anyway - hence why he got the bullet, despite the smoke and mirrors from our ex boss
steelboy
looks like leighton got the bullet for personal reasons more than anything else, he seems a bit of a dour character. motherwell didn't put up much of a fight to keep meldrum either so gannon can't be that fussed and by the same token if meldrum is willing to move up north he obviously wasn't that happy with his situation here. the only way i'd want to see jim leighton back at fir park would be for a reanactment of him getting drapped in front of the cooper stand. SuperSteelman
I think big Sieb should become our goalie coach.
gullane
Rather than bitch about MMG, I'd simply like to thank Melly for his service to the club and wish him well.

If only we were a season earlier we could have maybe signed Stevie Woods up. Doubt he'll leave his current post though.
Finlay
Best of Colin! Sure Jim will have someone in mind already as a replacement.

delboy
I could be wrong but I'm sure JL will be one of the commentators on radio Scotland for the Holland game, I wonder if they'll ask him about CM move to the dons...... Captain_Jack
I'm not sure how this works but if Meldrum was registered as a player then I would have thought some knid of fee would be involved. If not and he is on a contract as a coach then Aberdeen would be due us another cheque for compensation? No mention of either???

jonnymfc
Yeah can anyone in the know find out if we will receive compensation from Aberdeen for Meldrum??? I beleive he was registerd as a player. He was also a GK and Fitness coach. I would hope our club will pursue a fee. Does this include tapping up??? LOL
Steve Diggle
i really don't care if we get fuck all for him. Hardly worth anyone involved at MFC expending another calorie of energy on. If he feels Aberdeen is a better place to be then Cheerio to Fuck Meldrum! NEXT!
