Nijholt91
Motherwell manager Jim Gannon and striker Lukas Jutkiewicz have been named Clydesdale Bank Premier League Manager and Young Player of the Month for October, respectively.  The fourth-placed Steelmen were unbeaten in the SPL last month, taking eight points in total and holding leaders Celtic to a goalless draw at Parkhead.  On-loan Everton forward Jutkiewicz, 20, scored three times in four games, including a brace in the 3-3 draw at St Mirren.  Source: MirrorFootball  Just noticed it on the Fishal as well

Frazzie
All the sensible money is on Accies for saturday then! Â I'm not a boo-boy as such, and I like both Gannon and the Duke, but I don't honestly think either award was deserved. Having said that, there's been plenty of times when deserving 'Well players and managers have been overlooked so it's nice to have our boys recognised. Neil
Same last month when Hughes and Riordan won the award, no one really knew why, but I'll take it.

numpty
Gannon's as good a shout as any for that unbeaten run, but I'd have thought there were probably even young players in our own team who'd put in more consistent performances than the Duke this past month. coldonmac
But winning that award may make the difference as to whether or not the Duke wants to extend his stay.

Ya Bezzer!
who else deserves it? Well done Jim and Juke  Well Hibs are 2nd in the league and were undefeated last month.  Even just watching Motherwell matches, never mind the rest of the league, I'd have picked Steven Saunders over Jutkiewicz. Rickoza
Last Tuesday night was the bad result you nearly always get with the Monthly awards. Certain of that...........

Tweed
Think Gannon probably deserved his, won all the home games drew all the away games. Do that all season and you'll be tough to stop. Agree with the comments re Jutkiewitz who has done well scoring in two of the four games, from what I heard excellent at Parkhead and led the line well on Saturday but just not convinced he has done enough to win the award. His advantage over Saunders is that he is an attacker and therefore gets noticed more often. However its nice to see the silverware down Motherwell way so mustn't grumble. SuperSteelman
Good to see Gannon deservedly winning the award and also good to see big Juke pick up one too, it will surely give him a boost just at the right time. I'd love the big man to stay to the end of the season, you can clearly see him getting better in every game he plays and he is the type of player we need. nethertonwellfan
Well deserved for Gannon. I think he must be in thee running for Manager of the year if we keep this form up until the very end ( I know it's a big if). Just for the sheer rebuilding he has had to do.
