numpty
http://www.clubcall.com/motherwell/mcghee-...ook-840569.html Motherwell, 13:01, January 14, 2009 Motherwell boss Mark McGhee has asked defender Byron Webster to extend his trial spell with the Fir Park club. Webster is currently under contract at Czech side FK SIAD Most but they would be willing to let him move to the SPL side. The 21-year-old former York City defender has been on trial at Motherwell since the beginning of January but McGhee want to see more of him before deciding if he will offer him a permanent deal. McGhee told the Daily Express: "Byron has a lot of the characteristics we are looking for but it has been hard for him because we have only played once on grass, "So we have asked him to stay and that will give us the chance to put him through his paces. He is a big lad and if he shows up well then we could be in a position to offer him something."
SuperCC
All the Trialists already mentioned make both good football and business sense for us. No point going into debt to sign some big name numpties desperate for a contract. What McGhee does in this transfer window and for the rest of the season with those signings will pretty much be how a lot of us will rate him as a Motherwell manager! StAndrew7
Any news on the other trialists? 'Flow?
Rickoza
Mark appears to have gotten rid of previous trialists fairly quickly once it's obvious they are no good. However, the fact he's given Webster more time (not withstanding the weather etc) suggests he likes what he sees.
