Joeboy
___________________Marshall_____________________ Corrigan_______Craigan____Reynolds__________Paterson McCormack____O'Donnell____Leitch__________Pearson _____________McFadden____Clarkson______________ Subs: G. Smith, Quinn, Hammell, McCulloch, Brannan, McDonald, Porter. Made that as of before this season, as others said 6 months out of 10 years isn't enough. The only players I feel would make a slant on it from this season are Ruddy and Jutkiewicz. For the same reason I left Simo out.

MelvinBragg
To answer this question, I'd need the link to that really detailed Motherwell database website that I've lost. Because like a few people on here, I'm foggy as to who played in the early 00s and who just played in the late 90s...

Despite the goal return never being what you'd hope from someone earning so much he was a class act often made to look mediocre by the players around him not being on the same wave level. And can hardly blame him for taking the money that was offered, as for the court case and what not well I don't know the ins and outs but I suspect Nevin was largely to blame for fannying around and tossing money hand over fist. MearnsWell
Vadocz!!! Forgot about him. He could've went on to be some player for us. Definitely. The big man was sheer class.. McGhee knocked back the chance to sign him at the start of his reign, although there were rumours that he was understandably hacked off with the Malpas-era anti-football. He went to Nimjegen for a season then got transferred to Osassuna for 9 million euros, where he is to this day. Don't think we've ever had that class of central midfielder in terms of ability or transfer value in recent memory. Only half a season or so, but good to hear ia few folk still remember him, and its no' just me being the Vadocz saddo yet again

carlukemurray
ruddy - true quality in goals bit of a shaky defence quinn craigan reynolds hammell creative midfield with o'donnell for experience. foran pearson o'donnell mccormack the maverick genius of mcfadden alongside mcdonald. if mcdonald had decent service and support for motherwell he would have been outstanding - did well with what service and support he got mcfadden mcdonald
sieb_dystras_barmy_army
I'm very surprised that this is the first mention of Andy Goram! Loved watching Man U in Champs Lg, subs bench read Goram (Motherwell!!) Quality. (Unless I'm totally mistaken, but as far as I remember he was with us in 2000/20001) Goram Jim Patterson Kaiser Craigen Reynolds Rossco O'Donnell Lapin (maybe only for that day at Smeltic Park where they all thought we had blown their league!!) nethertonwellfan
One of the hardest things I have tried to do. There are so many players that I love and want to put in the team but as they say there is only 11 starting slots. I wasn't sure to pick people that had only a limited number of games but I thought I would pick the best players irrespective of the number of games that they played. So here goes. Ruddy Corrigan Reynolds Partridge McMillan Alan McCormack O'Donnell Leitch McFadden Porter McDonald Subs: Marshall, Quinn, Clarkson, Ross McCormack, Criagan, Paterson , Pearson I have no doubt with that squad we would be winning the league this year. Was a decent player though and one would have liked to see stay.
Al B
No-one has come close to paying 9m Euros for him.... It wasn't even one million from Osasuna. And he hardly gets a game. The Vadocz myth always makes me smile...the guy played 11 games for Motherwell, we won one of them. Against the team that got relegated. MearnsWell
The Vadocz myth always makes me smile...the guy played 11 games for Motherwell, we won one of them. Against the team that got relegated. Mmmm...interestingly Faddy features in a helluva lot of the teams Al, and he played in a team that finished bottom, so going by your logic...? Even in those 11 games, Vadocz showed enough class to stick in a few folks minds, mine included, as potentially one of our best central creative midfielders for a number of seasons. Way ahead of e.g. Steph Hughes (probably would've been cheaper as well, but thats another moot point) He'd be my pick in that role in a hypothetical best team for that reason, not because the team he played in (the arse end of the Malpas era) didny get results. Just my opinion mind... © M. Bragg.
