Steve Diggle
Aye, but one of the attributes of a captain would preferably be a desire to be captain. therein lies a wee problem for Steven (unless he's changed his much publicised view)

Steve Diggle
I'm guessing his view may have changed when Gannon got bumped. I'm guessing that you're unaware that he aired his views while McGhee was the manager.
David
I'm guessing that you're unaware that he aired his views while McGhee was the manager. I'm guessing that your guess could very well be correct. I wasn't aware that he had said that during the McGhee era. Either that or I may be getting a tad forgetful in my old age

Either that or I may be getting a tad forgetful in my old age Aye his position is that he'd rather not be captain as he'd rather concentrate on his game. Apparently if he's captain there's a risk that every one of his sclafs out of defence could fall to the opposition.
David
He always struck me as the ideal candidate for club captain, as he seems pretty well spoken, and has the "long serving veteran" status as well. Reynolds would be another good choice, unless rumours of him leaving soon are true.
