WellAyrshire
Went for a look today. Lot of work going on around RP as if they were trying to make sure the game is on. Nearly fell about 40 times though walking to the ground and back.

Neil
Aye, they don't look promising at all, but hopefully, with the temperature to stay up a bit over the few days, we'll be ok.
WellAyrshire
Didn't matter what way you approached the ground, it was a battle to stay upright but it is getting better. Surprised the carparks next to the ground were even worse than the pavements leading to it. Not one hint of grit or salt
Rickoza
They should hold of deciding until Saturday itself. Forecast is for a good deal of rain late Friday/Saturday.
Finlay
Good on ye mate for taking the time and effort to do that. Agree that it is looking grim. In saying that if they get the finger out, and with the worst of the weather behind us, they have all day Thursday and Friday to tackle some of the problem areas. Finlay
At the moment BBC website has light snow for Thursday and heavy rain for Friday and Saturday. Not exactly promising weather but it does report a low of 1 degree c until then.

Yir Elder
Not enough effort seems to be being made by Killie within their own grounds to clear the snow and ice. It may be a bit treacherous but folk have been getting around to work etc so why not the fitba? Too many of the health and safety brigade about theses days!! Looked today like they were using the JCB to hack up the ice within the walls next to the stands. Hopefully tomorrow they go to work with it around the car parks etc

I'd say hiring a JCB is a fair bit of effort. Bearing in mind the area surrounding our stadium is far bigger than any other SPL ground due to the Hotel etc. The Majority of the area's around Fir Park, Tynecastle etc are all council owned, the majority of the area's on those photo's are owned by the club with the exception of the pavements on the streets outside and they are just as bad. delboy
the only reason why the killie games were call off was becasue strathcylde's finest were short staffed and couldn't afford the over time

WellAyrshire
Still snowing here but optimistic. Plenty of work going on at Rugby Park in terms of the playing surface. Stands and access to stands are clear. They've got Land Engineering giving them a hand with clearing up. Also there is one of they big blower/heater things running at the moment pumping air below the covers/balloon type things. The snow has made walking to the ground and round about it easier.
