postiejim
PERTH Glory midfielder Adriano Pellegrino will fly to Glasgow next week to try and seal a dream move with Scottish giants Celtic. The 25-year-old midfielder, who won Perth's Most Glorious Player Award for the 2007/2008 season, will head to Scotland to trial with Celtic after Glory's Round 24 fixture against Wellington Phoenix. Glory owner Tony Sage revealed Celtic's interest in Pellegrino in The West Australian on Saturday, adding the club wouldn't stand in his way of a move but had held the trial off for Perth's busy upcoming period. Sage said: "He's asked if he can go on trial and we've said yes but it has to fit our time frame. "They had wanted him over this week but he would've missed three games so we said no. Now he's scheduled to go after the Wellington game." The Glory owner added if Pellegrino failed to win a deal in Scotland, he was expected back for Perth's Round 25 clash with Central Coast on January 31. The West Australian also speculated SPL club Motherwell were interested in Pellegrino's services.

Rickoza
Someone just needs to say to him that, if regular first-team football is more imporant than watching each game from the stands, then head to Fir Park.......
always next year
It ain't happening....although he would be a good loan signing he ain't going to the 'Well. The West Australian are as accurate with their stories as Chick Young is with a 'scoop'. Went on loan to a Greek side 4yrs ago, and got homesick.... Although as he's trying to get to the World Cup he may have to take a maddy and leave Perth for Glasgows East End..... tho he won't be in the Mega Bar - Guaranteed. Dezz
On the sky sports website this morning that Pellegrino is coming over for a trial with us within the next few months once the A league season comes to an end. Apparently his trial with Celtic fell through. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11781_5917187,00.html
Malky79
Of more interest is the comment that Brown seems inclined to give Spence a contract. A decent right back would not go a miss despite Hately doing ok there.
Dezz
Brown says that Spence was reccommended to him by Glen Hoddell. He isnt one of the Glen Hoddell academy players is he?? I only found out the other day that this actually existed outwith football manager

TAM
Is ths A League not already ended, hence we have McGlinchey tied up? Think they are about to move into play offs. Sure we got McGlinchey as they can't reach play offs now so let him come over early.
unknown
Is ths A League not already ended, hence we have McGlinchey tied up? Perth still have two games to play in the league Clicky fixtures and then as Tam above says, think its playoffs. Perth are 4th in league, whereas Mariners are 2nd bottom

However, with the arrival of the plooky Paul Slane to Celtic, Adriano decided to ditch Celtic and try out for January's SPL Manager of the Month Craig Brown and his Motherwell side"
Ian-in-Oz
Just to clear it up the A League has two regular season games left. After that the top six teams go into the playoffs & then finals the other teams just go on holiday. Pellegrino's Perth Glory will be involved with the playoffs but good chance they will get punted in the first round.
