Geedub
That is the second sexiest kit I've ever seen. The adidas mock up a good few pages back being number one
underboyleheating
I like the French World Cup Away (edit 2012 Euro) Nike top and decided to see what it would look like in C&A. It reminds me a little of our 1950s rugby style top.

Goggles & Flippers
Don't like the cuffs, bit too Blue Oyster Bar for me. I'd love it if you have time to see a modern Macron kit from their catalogue that mirrors the 1950's cup winning strips with the black socks. Only if you have time mind. The Roma one I'd buy in a heartbeat, reminds me of my favourite Pony away number with the huge amount of claret.

The new Lazio Macron template would make a smart modern day adaption of the 1950s style shirts. I have championed the one off return of the black socks for some time and from a historical kit perspective they would work well with this style of top.

Goggles & Flippers
Top looks great. For me though black socks look out of place on that kit. Just because in your time watching Well you've never been exposed to them, they were the norm pre-60's I understand. I'm sure they would grow on you over time. underboyleheating
...until you slap a great big Cash Converters logo on to it... The dreaded sponsors logo probably ruins 9 out of 10 kit releases. Unfortunately they are a necessity to raise income and few clubs can afford to have tops without one. It's only in recent years where we have witnessed a rise in gambling and payday loan sponsorship which usually devalues any design even more. Where possible clubs should try to offer an alternative to the sponsored shirt by having an option to buy a sponsor free retro top. In fairness to Motherwell/Provan they have been good at offering alternatives to the usual sponsored match day shirt.

Something that would make a kit look better with it rather than without? Sometimes makes it easier to remember a certain kit if its from a time the supplier had been the same for a longer period of time.

Frazzie
Having "The Untouchables" on the kit wasn't too shabby... Except the actual kit was. The Al Capone boy on the stand was better. To answer the question, there must be a company somewhere that uses Fir Trees as their logo. They would be ideal sponsors.

The white away one where it ran down the side was horrific but the two kits we used the season we were in administration are two of my favourites. Plain, no nonsense kits, the a way the inverse of the home...
Frazzie
Nah, they were cheap and nasty, not to mention a very vague impression of claret and amber.
Andy_P
Have to say I liked them both too, particularly the home one. There have been plenty much worse Motherwell strips since.

As you know, I don’t really buy tops so quality less of an issue for me. Design was to my tastes. Simple collar, quite a plain design. And we've had a few tops with more loose definitions of claret and amber...
underboyleheating
Makes me wonder, is there an "ideal" sponsor? Something that would make a kit look better with it rather than without? Certain kits are known by their sponsor and it would be difficult to imagine a 1980's Liverpool shirt without the Crown Paints or Hitachi logo. As for Motherwell tops Ian Skelly would probably be regarded as our classic sponsor and the tops would look odd without it.

underboyleheating
Basic online team wear sometimes gets an unfair press, however, I was keen to see what can be achieved within it’s limitations (I did add a hoop to the home top). For this photoshop experiment, I opted for a basic adidas team wear template complete with classic sponsor. The home sees the return of our hooped sleeves, whilst the away pays homage to our 90s pinstriped away kit. The presentation suit is how I like to see all our training kit, decked out in claret and amber.
something else
Superb work again ubh. Would love them as our kits.

BTW Is that the new name for a tracksuit now?
