Shallow Dave
Some of the locations we might need to go to in the second round could see a smaller travelling crowd than was at Albania. Only if it's one of the 'Stans'. Last year the club and Strathclyde Police bottled it regarding travel. Their press statement was pathetic. If it's anywhere west of Georgia, then more than ten will travel. We all know that Albania was far from dangerous now. SD
Finlay
Not so much danger. More cost. I think the cost of travelling to a seeded 3rd Qualifying Round team would be a lot less than to an unseeded 2nd Qualifying Round team. That is why I have my fingers crossed for Bangor City or Shamrock Rovers first. Fair play if you can afford both (if that happens).
Shallow Dave
It was airmiles that took me to Albania. I recognise that the cost is always an issue, especially when travel is during the traditional European holiday season. The main thing is that we've European football for the third successive season. Richie
The first 3 names on that 3rd round list are Liverpool Juventus and Stuttgart. That confirms anyone that wanted county to win today is indeed mental. Also, just checked... EL 3 place for Spain is currently Villareal (4 C/L teams in Spain). EL 3 for France is currently Bordeaux (3 C/L teams in France). Edited to add: Turkey has 2 c/l teams so their EL2 currently Besiktas (although Galatasaray currently on same points and ahead on GD so could be them)
Rickoza
See, I'm confused. 13 Scotland 27.875 ---------------------------------------- CL1=Glasgow Rangers 56.158 (ch/GS) CL2=Celtic 38.158 (ch/Q3) CW=Dundee United 5.158 (eu/Q4) EL2=Hibernian 6.158 (eu/Q3) EL3=Motherwell 6.158 (eu/Q4) Does this not imply we are in round 4 and Hibs in a round earlier? Rickoza
I know, it just seems to imply something different because it states Q4 beside us and Dundee United. Not at all clear if you look at that!
Finlay
Couple of points of trivia? We MUST be the first Scottish (British?) team that has qualified for Europe three seasons in a row, each time by different means. When was the last time a Scottish team, outside the OF, qualified for Europe three years in a row?
Richie
Killie? Edit: It was Hibs, then Killie before that. Edit, Edit: Although Hibs was via Inter-toto
Gaag
Hibs have just as much right to the claim as we do. As we've got in 3rd, then fair play then 5th place - could argue at least one, if not two were by default. But who cares
Richie
Haha, well Hibs got papped out of the Inter-Toto, so technically didnt qualify for any of the Uefa qualifying rounds. *Clutches at straws*
