fatcalf
I always wanted that one, was on order for months but never turned up Where did you order it from? It never went on sale. The club only sold off what leftover jerseys they had.
Andy_P
Aww nice one MJ. We could do much much worse than a modern take on that one for a future 'Well away top.
rgf17
i have a small long sleeved one with a 10 on back, would that be a player issue? Who wore 10 that season?
fatcalf
Could be one of a few to be honest. Brian Wright would have worn 10 at some point but need to check team lines for the actual games against Dundee Utd when we would have worn that kit. something else
i have a small long sleeved one with a 10 on back, would that be a player issue? Who wore 10 that season? Players weren't issued with squad numbers back then, it was just 1-11. I'm guessing Brian Wright or Steve Kirk wore 10 back then.
underboyleheating
Nice shirt Fatcalf. A wee homage to that top could be quite smart. The shirt design would even work quite well in petrol blue.
Special aka
love the petrol blue one. what about Amber shorts and hooped claret/amber socks ?
Cakes
I've yet to see a blue mock-up I like. Nothing to do with the designer(s) who've shown a great deal of imagination, I just don't like the idea of a blue kit. I like a white away kit, the '90-'91 away being a personal favourite. KirkySuperSub
Off topic, but looking at those old strips I never actually realised we were sponsored by Motorola for so long, thought it was only 4 / 5 years or something like that! LadywellToi
Nope it was ages, well until their tax breaks and other government financed incentives ran out and the moved to the next European country offering the same/better.
rgf17
I think i had looked at old programmes a while back and Brian Wright was a name i had came up with. It's a very small and tight shirt so i didn't see Kirk fitting into it(even in the 80s!) I wore it years ago and played football in it as I assumed it was a childrens top, if i'd known it was a players top it would've been looked after a lot better! If i get a chance i'll stick photo's up.
